    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery excellent in charge and discharge cycle characteristics. SOLUTION: The secondary battery 100 is provided with a wound electrode body 80 in which a positive electrode sheet 10 having a positive electrode active material layer 14 provided on both sides of a positive electrode current collector 12 and a negative electrode sheet 20 having a negative electrode active material layer 24 provided on both sides of a negative electrode current collector 22 are wound through separator sheets 30A, 30B, and which presents an outline of flat shape. The separator sheets 30A, 30B have separator sheet extra-length portions 38A, 38B which are wound inside than the innermost circumference portion 16 of the positive electrode sheet 10, and the separator sheet extra-length portions 38A, 38B are arranged so as to wind at least two rounds inside than the innermost circumference portion 16 of the positive electrode sheet 10.     Abstract: 本発明の密閉型電池は,電池容器(4,5)と,電池容器の内部に封入された発電要素とを有しており,電池容器に,注液口(12)と,注液口の周囲の表(おもて)面の全周にわたる環状畝部(16)と,環状畝部の内壁面の内側の環状凹部(15)とが設けられており,環状凹部に嵌め込まれ注液口を覆う封止栓(8)を有し,封止栓は,その縁辺にて全周にわたって環状畝部の内壁面に溶接により接合されているものである。環状畝部の外壁面の内側から外側へは熱が伝わりにくいので,溶接時の実質的な熱容量はほとんど,環状畝部の外壁面より内側の部分の構造だけで決まってしまう。したがって,実質的な熱容量は方角によらずほぼ均一である。これにより,全周にわたり一定の溶接条件で開口部を閉鎖できる密閉型電池およびその製造方法,さらにはその密閉型電池を搭載する車両,機器が提供されている。
