    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which suppresses erroneous detection of a rectangle object when detecting a target object from images. SOLUTION: The image processor 1 which detects a target object from images is equipped with; an evaluation means 11b which evaluates a degree of similarity of patterns between lines of images; and a discrimination means 11c which discriminates an object based on a degree of similarity evaluated by the evaluation means 11b. Further, the evaluation means 11b evaluates a degree of similarity of patterns between lines using the amount of characteristics of phase invariance of each line of the image. SOLUTION: A region where movement is aligned in each image continuously picked up by a camera is specified as a traveling object region, and a lower region whose size corresponds to the size of the traveling object region is set at the lower part of the traveling object region in which movement is aligned in each image, and whether or not the movement of feature points in the set lower region are unaligned is decided, and the lower region decided as the region in which movement is unaligned and the traveling object region corresponding to the lower region is specified as the whole body region of the pedestrian.
