Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elucidate a cause for reducing the effect of a BT-agent observed in a part of vegetables, and to provide a method for avoiding such the effect and a controlling agent. SOLUTION: The method for controlling harmful insects by avoiding the effect of reducing the insecticidal effect of the BT-agent containing spores and/or a crystalline protein produced by Bacillus thuringiensis as insecticidal components, and the controlling agent are provided.
