Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unique method for controlling insect pest with which insecticidal effects can last for long hours even when smoking or heating time is shortened, for a mosquito coil or heat evaporation preparation which has been considered fundamentals to use continuously for long hours. SOLUTION: This insect pest control method comprises: smoking or heat evaporating within one hour a treating agent including one or two or more compounds selected as insecticidal component from pyrethroid compounds with 2×10 -4 to 1×10 -2 mmHg vapor pressure at 30°C; and making the particle diameter of the treating agent, containing insecticidal components volatilized in air, 1 μm or less; and preparing atmosphere allowing pest control for 5 hours or more. In particular, the form of mosquito coil is highly useful because of sustaining insecticidal effects by the action of smoke. COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
