Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce impact imposed on a colliding object due to secondary collision without expanding a distance between an inner panel in the latter half of a hood and a member in the lower part of the hood. SOLUTION: The hood 10 has a Monaka (a hollow structure) with a hood outer panel 12 and an inner panel 14. In the central region of the inner panel 14, a plurality of protrusions 18 are formed along the vehicle longitudinal direction leaving prescribed spaces in the breadthwise direction of the vehicle, and the inner panel 14 has a cross section shaped in a waveform when it is seen from the vehicle longitudinal direction. The waveform cross section formed by the protrusions 18 in the first half 22 of the hood inner panel 14 and that in the latter half thereof are configured to have different waveform cross sections. Abstract: A vehicle hood structure (10) in which a space is formed by a hood outer panel (12), which structures a vehicle body outer side portion of a hood, and an hood inner panel (14), which structures a vehicle body inner side portion of the hood, the vehicle hood structure having: step portions (16) formed along a vehicle front-end direction in the hood outer panel; a plurality of convex portions (18) which swell toward a vehicle body top side and which are formed along the vehicle front-end direction at predetermined intervals in a vehicle transverse direction, at a central region of the hood inner panel (14) which is other than outer peripheral edge portions of the hood inner panel (14); joining portions formed at peak portions (18A) of the convex portions, and joined with the hood outer panel; and optionally, extending portions (30) formed along configurations of the step portions from the convex portions nearest to the step portions. In accordance with this structure, there is no need to provide a separate impact absorbing body for the step portion formed at the hood outer panel.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car body panel provided with a plurality of projections on its surface and suitable for an inner panel securing collision safety at the time of pedestrian head part collision without inhibiting rigidity of an overall automobile hood, etc. SOLUTION: The car body panel provided with a plurality of the projections 2a on its surface is previously provided with non-constant part shapes of a recessed part, a stepped part, a cutout, a slit, a thickness reduced part, etc., provided on a shape irregular part (recessed part 8a) for example, a projected surface which is normally smooth for the projected surface 10a to be locally deformed against a load to the projections 2a on the projected surface 10a.
