Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peptide for regulating thrombolysis and to provide a method for utilizing the same. SOLUTION: The peptide for regulating the thrombolysis is one of the following (a) to (d): (a) a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence derived from a bovine hemoglobin β-chain, and having a function of enhancing plasmin activities; (b) a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence having one or more substituted, deleted, inserted and/or added amino acids in the amino acid sequence represented in (a), and having the function of enhancing the plasmin activities; (c) a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence derived from the bovine hemoglobin β-chain, and having a function of inhibiting the plasmin activities; and (d) a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence having one or more substituted, deleted, inserted and/or added amino acids in the amino acid sequence represented in (c), and having the function of inhibiting the plasmin activities.
