摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a transgenic plant capable of being regenerated from a transformed tissue in the species Cucumis melo and excellent in virus resistance by including a DNA sequence transduced through mediation of Agrobacterium tumefaciens. SOLUTION: This transgenic plant is a transgenic plant of the normal phenotype belonging to the species Cucumis melo and contains one or more DNA sequences transduced through mediation of Agrobacterium tumefaciens. Further, the transgenic plant of the normal phenotype belonging to the species Cucumis melo is preferably prepared by including one or more DNA sequences capable of imparting resistance to cucumber mosaic and having an encoding sequence represented by the formula or capable of encoding a capsid protein of the cucumber mosaic virus. The plant tissue is preferably a melon and the tissue is preferably a cotyledon obtained from an embryo germinated for 0-4 days or a shoot bud.
