Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the boiling resistance of an EGR cooler by preventing local boiling of cooling water. SOLUTION: The measurements δin1 of a clearance 12g extending in a direction generally parallel with an inflow direction of cooling water flowing in from a cooling water inflow port 12d is made to be equal to the measurements δt of a clearance 11a between exhaust tubes 11. Concretely, the measurements δin1 is made to be between 1 mm and 5 mm. Therefore, the flow velocity of the cooling water flowing in the clearance 12g can be prevented from decreasing below a specified flow velocity, so that the cooling water can be prevented from locally boiling in the clearance 12g. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for brazing in which the corrosion resistance and the oxidization resistance of a brazing filler metal part with which joined members are brazed are improved and to provide a brazing structure which is suitable for the flow passage structure of a heat exchanger. SOLUTION: The structure is provided with a base plate 11 which is formed by a stainless steel member 11, a Fe-atom-diffusion-suppressing layer 12 which is formed by a Ni-Cr alloy which consists essentially of Ni and includes 10 to 30 mass % Cr, and further provided with, when necessary, a brazing filler metal layer 13 which is formed by a Cu-based brazing filler metal formed as a lamination on the Fe-atom-diffusion-suppressing layer 12. The diffusion of Fe atoms in the base plate into the brazing filler metal which is melted during a brazing process is suppressed by the Fe-atom-diffusion-suppressing layer, and a proper amounts of Ni and Cr are diffused into the brazing filler metal part, thus the excellent corrosion resistance and the oxidization resistance are given to the brazing filler metal part.

SOLUTION: A guide protruding portion 120b for directing a cooling flow of water which has flowed into a cooling water passage 120 from a cooling water communicating path 120a, is provided at a diagonal portion in the passage 120, opposite to the diagonal portion wherein the path 120a is provided. Thus, the diagonal portion opposite to the diagonal portion wherein the path 120a is provided, can be prevented from becoming a dead water region (stagnant pool). Accordingly, in the diagonal portion opposite to the diagonal portion wherein the path 120a is provided, cooling water can be prevented from being boiled, thereby preventing the cooling capacity of the EGR cooler from being drastically lowered.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device through heat release capable of preventing lowering of radiating performance by preventing radiating fins 18 from being crushed or separated. SOLUTION: The amount of a header tank 16 pushed into a coolant tank 4 is regulated, such that a distance L between a radiating tube 17a at the lowest portion, and the coolant tank 4 is set at a predetermined value based on the height of a radiating fin 18a at the lowest level. The amount of the header tank 16 pushed into the coolant tank 4 is regulated by putting the stepped surface 20 of an inside header plate 16a which constitutes the header tank 16 into contact with the top surface of the coolant tank 4. Since this prevents variations in the amount of header tank 16 pushed into the coolant tank to keep proper amount of header tank 16, radiating fins 18 interposed between the coolant tank 4 and the radiating tube 17a at the lowest portion are prevented from being crushed or separated.

The mounting stage 15 is provided for fixing a printed substrate 2 via the connecting part 16 such as bolts, etc., and a round hole, to have it pass through the connecting part 16, is provided. Consequently, since it is unnecessary to provided a hole on the cooling refrigerant bath 4 to fix the printed substrate, the refrigerant bath 4 can be made small in size and its weight can be reduced, without decreasing the inside volume of the refregerant bath 4.

SOLUTION: A core plate 103 is folded to a side of bonnets 106, 107, and an inner wall surface of a tank 102 and the core plate 103 are brazed. Because the core plate 103 is folded to the side of the bonnets 106, 107, a cooling water inlet pipe 104 and a cooling water outlet pipe 105 are connected in a position close to the core plate 103. Therefore, cooling water can flow along the core plate 103, and stagnation of the cooling water can be suppressed. As a result, the heat exchange performance can be improved.

SOLUTION: A finless range α where fins 111 are not provided is provided close to an exhaust inlet 110a. Heat exchange between EGR gas and cooling water is thus restricted close to the exhaust inlet 110a at least, and EGR gas is roughly uniformly distributed roughly along the whole range of the exhaust passage 110. Cooling water is thus prevented from locally boiling. Heat conductivity as the whole body of an EGR cooler 100 is improved, and heat exchange can be efficiently conducted in the whole body of the EGR cooler 100.
