When the reject box 64 is not arranged between the reject unit 58 and the conveying means for payment 39, an operation that a rejected coin is conveyed and returned to a coin dispensing port 20 by the conveying means for payment 39 can be selected. A method for processing a rejected coin according to operation is arbitrarily selected and changed based on the presence/absence of arrangement of the reject box 64.
