摘要: PURPOSE:To provide a titled feeder which feeds hot billets to a heating furnace without passing through a cooling process by charging the hot billets which are fed on a roller table into the heating furnace from the prescribed position by the operation of a transverse feed mechanism and automatically discharging the hot billets after soaking. CONSTITUTION:Hot billets 10 are fed up to the position at the end on the heating furnace C side by a roller table 1. Next, the operating cylinders 12 of a transverse feed mechanism B operate forward to extend rods 6 and to abut the detaining pieces 8 at their leading ends on just before the billets 10, thereby bringing down the billets into submerging holes 7. The pieces submerge the under surface of the billets 10, go out to the opposite side and are erected there. By the backward operation of the cylinders 12, the pieces 8 are engaged with the opposite side faces of the billets 10, and are moved in transverse feed on a frame body 4. In the prescribed position, the operation of the cylinders 12 is stopped. Next, the cylinders 12 of pusher rods 11 are operated, and the ends of the billets 10 are pushed by the rods to open the automatic door 13 of the furnace C, whereby the billets 10 are charged 14 into the line grooves 16 of a hearth 15. The billets 10 having been finished of soaking in the furnace C are pushed out from the automatic door 13 on the opposite side wall and the next billets 10 are charged into the furnace C by the same operation.

摘要: PURPOSE:To contrive the improvement of thermal efficiency and the minimization of oxide scale to be generated, by introducing the exhaust heat of the soaking pit into the preheating furnace so as to permit the existence of either one or both of hot billet and cold billet correspondingly to the operational condition, and by continuously feeding these billets into the rolling process. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust heat of the soaking pit 10 is introduced into the preheating furnace 20 through the small flue 16. The cold billet 1A is charged into the preheating furnace 20 by the first pusher 30, and after being preheated, is pushed out onto the conveying roller table 44 by the second pusher 40, and is stopped at the side of the entrance of the soaking pit 10, and then, is dropped onto the transverse feeder 70 by the third pusher 50. In the meantime, the hot billet 1B sent from the billet forming process is laid parallelly to the cold billet 1A on the feeding roller table 60. Either one of cold billet 1A and hot billet 1B is stopped at the entrance of the soaking pit by actuating the transverse feeder 70. The pusher 80 is forced to contact with either one of billets, which is then pushed into the soaking pit 10. According to this method, the cold billet 1A is uniformly heated, and the generation of the oxide scale is minimized.
