    摘要: PURPOSE:To simply concentrate the titled amino acid without requiring a lot of energy, auxiliaries and facilities, by using change of water solubility with time wherein an amino acid is mixed with a trialkylamine or N-alkylpiperidine and allowed to stand to cause phase separation. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution containing an amino acid is mixed with a trialkylamine (A for short) and/or N-alkylpiperidine (B for short), allowed to stand and separated into two layers. Part of water in the aqueous solution of the amino acid is dissolved in the upper layer of A and/or B and removed. Then A and/or B having dissolved in the process is heated, separated into a layer consisting essentially of water and a layer consisting essentially of A/B and the prepared A and/or B is recycled to the above-mentioned process and reused.

    摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain tryptophan from an aqueous solution containing tryptophan together with other amino acids, by contacting the solution with a strongly acidic cation exchange resin beads, desorbing the other amino acids from the resin with an aqueous solution of an acid, etc., and then separating tryptophan with an alkaline aqueous solution. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution containing tryptophan together with other amino acids is made to contact with strongly acidic cation exchange resin beads filled in a column to effect the adsorption of tryptophan and a part of the coexisting amino acids, and the resin is made to contact with an aqueous solution of an acid or an inorganic salt to effect the desorption of the adsorbed coexisting amino acids. Thereafter, the adsorbed tryptophan is desorbed with an alkaline aqueous solution, and the desorbed solution is made to contact again with the resin. The adsorption and desorption are repeated to separate the tryptophan in the form of highly concentrated solution. EFFECT:An alkaline aqueous solution having a tryptophan concentration of 3-15wt% and free from impurity amino acid can be produced.

    摘要: PURPOSE:To concentrate the titled amino acid without requiring a lot of energy, by adsorbing an aromatic amino acid in an aqueous solution on a non-ion exchange high porous polymer resin and passing a mixed solution of a compound trialkylamine, etc., through the resin. CONSTITUTION:An aromatic amino acid (e.g. tryptophan) in an aqueous solution is adsorbed on a non-ion exchange high porous polymer resin, a mixed solution of water and a trialkylamine and/or N-alkylpiperidine showing properties of water solubility changing with temperature from slightly soluble to readily soluble is passed through the resin at = a temperature wherein the solution is separated into two layers, the aromatic amino acid is concentrated in a layer solution of the lower layer comprising water as a main compound and obtained. This method can be carried out without requiring a lot of energy and an auxiliary.

    摘要: PURPOSE:To crystallize and purify the titled compound useful as a medicine, in high purity, by passing an aqueous solution of tryptophan containing impurities through a nonpolar highly porous polymer resin, eluting with ammonia water and concentrating the eluate with a reverse osmosis membrane. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution of tryptophan containing impurities is passed through a nonpolar highly porous polymer resin to effect the adsorption of tryptophan and the tryptophan adsorbed to the resin is eluted with ammonia water (the 1st step). The eluate obtained by the 1st step is concentrated with a reverse osmosis membrane (the 2nd step). The objective compound is crystallized by removing ammonia from the concentrated liquid obtained by the 2nd step (the 3rd step). The amount of the resin used in the 1st step is usually 5-100%, preferably 5-30% of the aqueous solution of tryptophan and the concentration of the ammonia water used in the 1st step is preferably about 0.5-5N.

    摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain concentrated tryptophan, by adsorbing tryptophan from an aqueous solution to a porous cation exchange resin having low degree of crosslinking, and contacting the resin in fluidized state with an alkaline aqueous solution, thereby desorbing the tryptophan from the resin. CONSTITUTION:Tryptophan in an aqueous solution is adsorbed to a porous cation exchange resin having a crosslinking degree of 1-7% (e.g. Diaion PK resin) at 10-40 deg.C, and the resin is made to contact with an alkaline aqueous solution (preferably aqueous solution of ammonia) at 10-80 deg.C in fluidized state to effect the desorption and concentration of tryptophan. The fluidization of the resin is carried out e.g. by stirring the mixture of the resin and the alkaline aqueous solution, or immersing the resin in the alkaline aqueous solution and floating the resin by bubbling, etc.
