Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce the above cable with one time of production process by adopting the structure consisting in disposing molded pipes consisting of plastic tapes housing optical fibers around a central high-tensile body and integrally coating the central tensile body and the molded pipes. CONSTITUTION:This optical cable is constituted by having the structure consisting in disposing plural pieces, for example, 6 pieces of the molded pipes 2, which are molded of plastic tapes of >=0.1mm thickness and =0.1mm thickness and

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the nonmetallic optical fiber cable which is high in strength, small in diameter and light in weight and is excellent in flexibility and economy by substantially closely disposing plural tensile bodies around the optical fiber disposed at the cable center. CONSTITUTION:The optical fiber 1 is positioned at the center of the cable and spacers 4 hold the optical fiber 1 and the polyethylene (PE) coated FRP twisted wires 11 to 14 in such a manner that the PE-coated FRP stranded wires 11 to 14 enclose the circumference of the optical fiber. Retaining winding of a plastic tape 5 is applied on the outer side of the spacers 4 and an outer coating 6 is formed above the tape. Each of these PE-coated FRP stranded wires 11 to 14 is constituted by twisting and doubling 7 pieces of FRP rods 2 and coating these rods with PE. The tensile bodies function as the armor of the cable as well and the structure highly strong to the tensile force in the axial direction and the compressive force in the diametral direction is obtd. The diameter and weight of the cable are reduced and the flexibility as the cable is improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To permit easy and stable connection and post branching by providing coiled optical fiber core parts intermittently formed to a core shape to an optical fiber core. CONSTITUTION:The coiled optical fiber core parts 2 formed intermittently to the coil shape are formed to the optical fiber core. Since tensile bodies 3 supports the tension applied on an optical fiber cable during laying, the coiled parts 2 and prevented from being elongated by the laying. The coiled parts 2 are held housed in a sheath 4 without elongation when the optical fiber cable for branching is first laid. The sheath 4 is cut at the point to be connected when the need for connecting the fiber core at an intermediate point arises. The optical fiber core 1 is then taken out and the coiled part 2 is stretched to obtain a surplus length. The connection and post-branching is executed in a junction box 5. The easy and stable drawing-out of the surplus length necessary for the connection is thereby permitted.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an equal connection working to the dry optical cables for the optical fibers, by avoiding a direct touch between the optical fiber and the jelly. CONSTITUTION:The optical fibers 1 sotred freely into the groove of the spacer 10 and the intervening substances 11 such as a polyethylene cord or the like distributed between the adjacent spacers are collected around the tension member 4. Both the tape coil 5 and the sheath 6 are provided on the fibers 1 and substances 11 to form an optical fiber core. The plural communication lines 8 are gathered above the periphery of the optical fiber core, and then the jelly 3 is filled into the gaps of lines 8. After this, the outer sheath 6' is provided. It is possible to provide the sheath after distributing an anti-tension substance such as a cabler or the like on the optical fiber.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve heat resistance by filling a refrigerant such as water or oil into a metal pipe housing an optical fiber core, optical fiber cord or optical fiber cable and circulating this. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerant 9 such as water or noncombustible oil is filled in a pipe 8 of aluminum or iron housing an optical fiber core, optical fiber cord or optical fiber cable 4, and is circulated by a pump 10. Thereby, the heat resistance may be improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the identifiability of optical fiber cores by inserting the specified number of the optical fiber cores without twisting into the tapes of V-form in section and aggregating six pieces of these V-form tapes and radially twisting these toward the central axis. CONSTITUTION:With the number of the optical fiber cores to be put into the V- form cable being made n(n+1)/2(n>=2) pieces, these cores are put parallel into the V-form tape without mutually twisting. Six pieces of such V-form tapes are twisted at the aggregating to constitute the cable. For example, with the cable 4 of 36 pieces in total, the optical fiber cores 2 of six cores in the V-form tape 1 are not mutually twisted but the six pieces of V-form tapes 1 are twisted and aggregated and therefore this results in that the fiber of 36 cores are twisted as a whole, thus the flexibility, etc. of the cable 4 are sufficiently assured. In this way, the optical fiber cores 2 orderly array in the V-form tapes 1 without being twisted and there is no disorder of the configurations, hence the identifiability of the optical fiber cores 2 may be improved.
