    Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase dispersibility by dispersing in an organic solvent the spherical particles of a highmolecular composite material which is composed of ferromagnetic powder and thermoplastic resin having functional groups. CONSTITUTION:A styrene-n-butyl acrylate copolymer 50wt. part and Fe3O4 50wt. part are mixed, and a composite thus formed is melted and kneaded at a temperature of 150 deg.C in a laboplastomill and then cooled down to be cured. Thereafter it is roughly crushed. A crushed material thus obtained, 30wt. part, and polyethylene glycol which is incompatible substantially with the copolymer are agitated in flask and then cooled down. A coagulated material thus obtained is dried after the polyethylene glycol is removed therefrom.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain the titled very fine size-controlled particles of virtually shperical form, by incorporating a polybasic acid in a mixture of resin and an incompatible medium, stirring the system at temperatures above a specified level to disperse the resin followed by separation of said resin (particles) from the medium.
    CONSTITUTION: A polybasic acid is incorporated in a mixture of a thermoplastic resin and a medium virtually incompatible with said resin, the resultant system being stirred at temperatures above the melting or softening point of the medium to fully disperse the resin (particles) followed by separation of said resin (particles) from the medium, thus obtaining the objective fine particles. The thermoplastic resin is e.g. polyethylene, polyamide. The medium is e.g. polyethylene glycol. The polybasic acid is e.g. sulfuric acid, sulfurous acid sulfonic acid, fuming sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid. The size of the particles finally obtained is ≤50μm.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled spherical particles useful as a coating compound for baking, and a coating compound for electrostatic coating, by dispersing a thermoplastic resin and an inorganic filler into a specific medium atter heating while stirring, and separating the medium from it. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. thermoplastic resin (e.g., polyethylene, etc.) is blended with 0.5-50pts.wt. inorganic filler (e.g., carbon black, etc.) to give a composition. 1-70wt% composition is sufficiently dispersed into 99-30wt% medium (e.g., polyethylene glycol, etc.) having substantially no compatibility with the resin at a temperature >= the melting point or the softening point of the resin and the medium while stirring, and the medium is dissolved or washed and removed by the use of water or a low-boiling liquid organic compound.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To control the particle diameter and viscosity distribution and obtain dense spherical fine particles, by mixing a specific medium compound with a thermoplastic resin, adding an EO-PO block copolymer thereto, dispersing the copolymer in the melt state, and the cooling and solidifying the dispersion, and separating the particles.
    CONSTITUTION: A compound expressed by the formula R-(OCH

    2 )-OR' (R and R' and H or 1W12C branched chain alkyl; n is ≥20) is used as a medium compound, and a thermoplastic resin is mixed therewith. A kind of block copolymer consisting of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide is added thereto, and the mixture is mixed and agitated at the melting point or the softening point or above of the respective components to form a dispersion system of the respective components in the melt state. The resultant dispersion system is then cooled to the solidifying point of the thermoplastic resin or below, solidified and separated. An EO-Po block copolymer having 50:50W97:3 weight ratio between the ethylene oxide and propylene oxide is used as the EO-PO block copolymer.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the titled resin particles in a perfectly spherical form, having a narrow particle size distribution, by dispersing a polyamide resin in a particular medium contg. an anionic surfactant by heating, followed by separating. CONSTITUTION:A polyamide resin (A) (e.g., nylon 6), a medium (B) of the formula (wherein R, R' are H, 1-12C straight-chain or branched alkyl; R'' is H, CH3, C2H5; n is 20 or more) having a MW of 900-1,000,000 (e.g., polyoxyethylene), and 0.1-40% one or more anionic surfactants (C) based on said polyamide resin are mixed with stirring at a temp. of at least the m.p. or softening point of components A and B to disperse well, and then cooled to a temp. of at most the m.p. of the component A and at least the m.p. or softening point of the component B. Then, the component A is separated from the component B, etc. by procedures such as filtering and, if necessary, the component B is completely removed by washing with water or low-boiling org. compds., yielding the titled resin particles.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make a carrier ideal for the separation of water soluble high polymer, especially substance related to organisms by chemically connecting sugars onto the surface of porous inorganic particles through an organic silane compound containing gamma-glycidoxypropyl group. CONSTITUTION:Sugars selected from among monosaccharide, disaccharide and trisaccharide can be fixed easily on the surface of an inorganic particles if an organic silane compound as given in the formula I (X is Cl, OCH3 or OCH2CH3) is provided on the surface of a porous inorganic particles such as silica, alumina, zeorite or the like as spacer molecule. A carrir thus obtained is charged into a column of a fast gell precipitating chromatograph method (fast GPC method). If so, being a rigid construction, the carrier is usable under a high pressure/high velocity flow and hence ideal for separation of water soluble high polymer, especially protin, enzime or the like.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an olefin polymn. catalyst component with remarkably enhanced polymn. activity by plasma treating a TiCl3-based olefin polymn. catalyst component at a low temp. CONSTITUTION:gamma-TiCl3 powder obtd. by reducing TiCl4 with metallic Al or the like is charged into a discharge device previously replaced with N2. The system is then evacuated to remove N2, H2 or the like is introduced to a press. of 0.005-5 Torr, and plasma is produced at an output of 0.001-200 W to plasma treat the gamma-TiCl3 powder. The treating time is above 1 sec and the treating temp. room temp.-200 deg.C. The resulting polymn. catalyst component, the plasma treated TiCl3 is used in polymn. of olefins in combination with an organo-metallic cpd., usually an org. Al cpd. such as Al(C2H5)3 or the cpd. and an electron donative cpd. The olefins may be 15 or less C olefins such as ethylene and propylene.
