    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery electrode plate which is advantageous for decreasing voltage drop quantity in the battery electrode plate. SOLUTION: This battery electrode plate comprises at lest one of a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate used for a battery. One battery electrode plate is comprised of a plurality of segment electrodes 1 to 3 and a current collecting lug part 5 partially coupling the end of each of the segment electrodes 1 to 3. It is preferable that each of the segment electrodes 1 to 3 be made of a transverse shape, and that the configuration be such that either one of the left or the right end is coupled with the current collecting lug part 5.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a method of driving a piezoelectric actuator, where the actuator can be enhanced in durability. CONSTITUTION:A positive voltage (electric field intensity) b is applied to a piezoelectric actuator to put it in an expansion state, and a positive bias voltage (electric field intensity) a lower than the positive voltage b is applied to put the actuator in a shrinkage state. The positive voltage b becomes higher with the positive bias voltage a. In constitution, an electric field applied to the piezoelectric actuator is far from a region of low electric field where a piezoelectric material deteriorates sharply in quantity of polarization, so that the reduction of a piezoelectric pellet in quantity of polarization correspondent to the displacement of the pellet is kept smaller than conventionally, and in result a piezoelectric actuator of this design can be restrained from deteriorating in polarization.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance both of a flutter characteristic and steering stability, by using a boss metal fitting having almost plate-shape metal spring members radially interposed therein between inside and outside members. CONSTITUTION:A boss metal fitting B consists of an inside member 10, an outside member 11 and plate-shape spring members 12. The spring members 12 are radially arranged between the inside and outside members 10, 11 centering around the axial center of the boss metal fitting B and fixed to the outer periphery of the inside member 10 and the inner periphery of the outside member 11. By using the spring members 12 made of a metal, static torsional rigidity and dynamic torsional rigidity become almost equal to each other and, therefore, not only a flutter characteristic but also steering stability are enhanced. By using the spring members 12 extending in the axial direction, the shift of the inside and outside members 10, 11 in the axial direction is certainly prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To manufacture a core material which is superior in fluttering characteristics, by winding a fiber of high specific gravity such as a metallic fiber round a ring part, in a process of manufacturing the core material of a steering wheel made of FRP by winding round a resin-impregnated long fiber. CONSTITUTION:A ring part, boss part and spoke part are formed by winding a resin-impregnated glass fiber F round a molding tool 1 constituted of a wind-up mold 3 and boss metal fittings 2 by making use of a robot 7. Then a resin-impregnated long fiber W of high specific gravity such as a metallic fiber is wound round the ring part 13 further. As a weight of the ring part 13 is increased, a core material whose handle does not vibrate in a peripheral direction and whose fluttering characteristics have been improved can be obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve fluttering hcaracteristics, by making use of boss metal fittings constituted by enclosing an elastic material, in a method of manufacturing a core material of a steering wheel made of FRP by winding round a resin impregnated long fiber. CONSTITUTION:Boss metal fittings 10 are constituted of two members of an inside member 11 and outside member 12, a recessed part and protruding part for fitting confronting surface of both the members each other are provided and an elastic material 14 such as rubber is enclosed into a gap part between both the recessed part and protruding part. A core material of a steering wheel is molded by winding a resin impregnated long fiber round a forming jig of a ring part not illustrated herein and the boss metal fittings 10 situated at the shaft center of the said jig. When external force to be applied to the steering wheel is of low torque, fluttering characteristics are improved as an elastic member absorbs an oscilation in a peripheral direction. When the torque becomes high, both the members are fitted at the recessed part and protruding part each other and the torque is transmitted to a shaft.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve workability as well as quality characteristics, by a method wherein a restrain fitting, provided tiltably on a mold, is tilted before resin impregnated long fibers are wound around the mold and the restraint fitting is uprightly after finishing the winding of the fibers to regulate the widthwise direction of a spoke. CONSTITUTION:A mold, in which an annular second reeling jig 13 is connected and fixed to the circumferential rim of one side of a disc-type first feeling jig 12 fixed to a main shaft 11, is provided with a pair of restraint pins 5 on respective three sets of tilting devices 8, provided on the side surface of the boss of a reeling mold 10, while the pins 5 can be tilted or raised up so as to become parallel to the main shaft 11. Resin impregnated long fibers F are wound around a feeling groove 16, a notch groove 17 and a boss metal 14 through a guide jig while rotating the mold 10 to laminate and form a core. After finishing the winding, the restraint pins 5 are raised up to push the bundle 4a of the fibers on the part of a spoke. The impregnated resin in the fibers is cured with the restraint pins 5 fixed whereby the core of a steering wheel may be obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the mounting failure of a pad from occurring, improve the operability and decorativeness and at the same time improve the formability for covering core materials by a method wherein the so-called marked-off portion of each spoke part is covered with a precisely molded synthetic resin cover. CONSTITUTION:In a first process, a steering wheel core material 10 is formed by laminatedly taking up a resin-impregnated continuous long fiber with a reeling jig 1. In a second process, the uncured core material is mounted on a marked-off part forming jig 15. The jigs 15 are positioned and fixed so as to precisely form so-called marked-off parts or portions, each of which corresponds to the peripheral edge part of a pad to be attached on a steering wheel in the form of a finished product and is covered with urethane, of spoke parts. Then, the core materials are cured. After the complete curing of the core materials, the marked-off part forming jigs are removed. In a third process, for example, molding tools for covering urethane are installed onto the molded steering wheel core materials so as to pour urethane stock liquid in the tools in order to form urethane coverings onto the cured core materials. At this time, the leakage of the urethane stock liquid is suppressed and consequently urethane-covered marked-off parts having both accurate dimensions and precise shapes are molded.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To dispense with post-processing and to prevent the lowering in the strength of a FRP structure, by winding a resin impregnated continuous fiber bundle around an insert metal jig wherein a flange is provided to the upper and lower parts of a disc and the ratio H/W of the height H of the flange and the thickness w of the body part thereof is 0.8-2.0. CONSTITUTION:A ring shaped jig 5 having a groove 5a of which the cross-section is an almost U-shape and an insert metal jig 1' of which the H/W ratio is 0.8-2.0 are supported by a support shaft 6 and a continuous fiber bundle 4 impregnated with a resin is wound around a part of the insert metal jig 1 from a notch part 5b to be wound around a notch part 5c or wound around a part of the insert metal 1' from the notch part 5b to be wound around a notch part 5d while the rotary shaft 6 is rotated to form a core cylindrical material 9 consisting of a ring part 7, a spork part 8 and the insert metal jig l'. Even if load F other than rotary force is added to the spork part 8 of thus obtained core material 9, stress is dispersed to the entire region of the flange 3 of the insert metal jig 1' and alleviated, no release phenomena is generated.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a high energy absorbing core material in headline by configurating a device in such a way that both a ring section and spoke sections, which are formed by winding continuous fiber bundles impregnated with resin around both a boss and a circular jig, is provided, and beams made of fiber reinforced resin are adapted to connect spokes one another so as to strengthen these spokes simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:Continuous fiber bundles such as glass fiber, carbon fiber, and the like which are impregnated with synthetic resin such as, for example, polyester resin, epoxy resin, and the like are laminated while they are winded around a boss 2 and a circular jig (not shown). Then, the core material 7 is processed into a film formation with urethane resin and the like applied. In this configuration, the core material 7 is composed of a ring section 5, and spoke sections 6a-6c, and FRP beams 11 are adapted to connect spoke sections one another. And catchers 12a-12c are embedded into desired positions so as to adapt the beams 11, and fiber bundles are winded around these catchers 12a-12c.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a car body frame which is light in weight and is superior in mechanical properties such as strength and rigidity, by a method wherein a material of the frame is constituted of at least any one kind out of solvent easily-soluble substance, a low fusion point alloy and a shape memory alloy and applying a solvent or heating or cooling to the foregoing substance. CONSTITUTION:A solid mold 1 of a car body frame is manufactured by making use of solvent easily-soluble substance such as rock salt or polyvinyl alcohol resin and a groove 2 is formed on its predetermined position. After a glass fiber bundle or carbon fiber bundle in a continuous length which is impregnated with thermoplastic resin such as epoxy resin or unsaturated polyester resin has been wound round the solid mold 1 by passing through along the groove 2 the same is heated and cured by making use of infrared ray heater and the body is released by melting the solid 1 by making use of water having predetermined temperature. A weight of the body frame manufactured by making use of this method is lighter by 40-70% than that of a traditional one.
