PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively recovering tocopherol and tocotrienols in concentrated state from a raw material containing a small amount of tocopherol and tocotrienols in a large amount of fatty acid. SOLUTION: Free fatty acids and fatty acid glycerides in palm oil fatty acid distillate (PFAD) are subjected to esterification or transesterification with a lipase to form a fatty acid lower alcohol ester and concentrated tocopherol or tocotrienol is separated by distillation or treatment with an anion-exchange resin. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing high purity geranyl geraniol which is a raw material of an intermediate for various useful materials, especially pharmaceuticals. SOLUTION: The method for producing high purity geranyl geraniol is to remove acidic components from crude geranyl geraniol prepared by extracting annatto (Bixa Orellana) seeds or its oily residue of pigment extraction, subsequently react the resultant product with a dibasic acid anhydride in a nonpolar solvent to bring the same to a hemi-esterified compound of geranyl geraniol and purify the semi-esterified compound by adsorbing with an anion exchange resin. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition containing mass of phytosterol which is completely insoluble in water, having high crystallinity and hardly soluble in oil, and being easily dispersible in water, and to produce the same. SOLUTION: The inventor of the present invention has found that a composition formed by adding and dissolving a small amount of phosphatidylcholin to the phytosterol, which is hardly soluble in water and oil, is easily dispersible in water. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain vitamin E that is oily at a normal temperature, lipid-soluble and has extremely high viscosity as powder having a high vitamin E content and excellent fluidity. SOLUTION: Vitamin E is mixed with proline and an organic solvent, stirred at a room temperature or under heating to form a complex of vitamin E and proline, the organic solvent is distilling away and the complex is dried to give powder having a high vitamin E content and excellent fluidity.
