Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering control device capable of appropriately controlling the response of an actual steered angle to a steering angle.
SOLUTION: The steering control device controls to add an assisting torque based on a steering operation by a driver. Specifically, the steering control device sets to a predetermined frequency response a transfer function in a range from the inputted steering angle to the actual steered angle. Then, based on the frequency response, the transfer function of the steering angle in a relational expression between the steering angle, the actual steered angle, and the assisting torque, and the transfer function of the assisting torque in the relational expression, the steering control device determines the assisting torque with respect to the steering amount. By performing the steering assist based on the determined assisting torque, it is possible to accurately control the response of the actual steered angle to the steering angle.
