Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite tube coated with a foam of a high foaming magnification and combining excellent thermal insulation and workability by choosing a shape for the cross-section of the tube of the foams perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, a number of foams, a number of holes of the die and a material(s) for the foams so as to achieve a high foaming magnification.
SOLUTION: In the composite tube coated with foams 12 on the outside surface of a tube 11, the two or more foams constitute layers. In the cross-section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the composite tube, the thickness of a foam arranged concentrically on an outer surface is larger than that of a foam on the more central side, and the number of foams arranged concentrically on outer surfaces is smaller than that of foams arranged concentrically on the more central side.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the product with small eccentricity and excellent quality, regulating a sizing die in short time easily by achieving the position-regulation of the sizing die, while detecting the surface temperature of the foam insulating extrudate covering a core member by said sizing die provided with a temperature sensing element. CONSTITUTION:For instance, a core member and the high grade foam insulator 5 enclosing the core member are extruded from an extruding device 1 and are introduced into the cooled sizing die 2 with a cooling medium path 3. The distance between the sizing die 2 and the extruding device 1 and the position of the central axis of the sizing die 2 are regulated such that while detecting the surface temperature of said insulator 5 running in contact with the die at two positions or more in circumferential direction by the temperature sensing element 4 fitted to the rear portion 2' of said die, the difference therebetween is caused to become small and its value is caused to become correct. Thus, the objective product is obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To form a cross-linkable foamed article which is foamed up to the inside of thickness, having a skin layer and is capable of having high foaming magnification, by applying back pressure higher than the atmospheric pressure to the inside of a lengthy land die by providing a cooling die at an outlet of said lengthy land die. CONSTITUTION:A matter obtained by mixing a bridgable thermoplastic resin, a bridging agent having a higher thermolytic temperature than a plasticizing temperature of said resin and a foaming agent having a higher thermolytic temperature than that of the bridging agent is extruded within lengthy land dies 2-4 whose length is 50cm or more. The extruded mixture is made into viscosity suitable for foaming by making it unite by bridging substantially at the forestage 2 of the lengthy land die. Then the extruded mixture is made to foam by heating the same more than the thermolytic temperature of the foaming agent at rear stage parts 3, 4. A foamed article is cooled by providing a cooling die 5 at the final end of the dice where foaming is completed, back pressure is applied to the forestage part 2 through wall face resistance between the dice and the foamed article, partial generation of a bubble partially decomposing and foaming agents is prevented and a skin layer is formed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the smooth surface and accuracy of a shape of a foamed article having low-high foaming magnifications favorable and to improve productivity, by interposing a lubricant between an inner circumferential face of a lengthy land and extruded resin. CONSTITUTION:Organic polymer is supplied to an extruder 1 and a volatile organic foaming agent is poured into a cylinder from the middle of the cylinder. The polymer is extruded to a lengthy land die 4 under a state wherein it does not form a foamed article substantially. As sliding resistance between th inner circumferential surface of the lengthy land die 4 and extruded resin is increased here, a lubricant is supplied to a wall surface of the lengthy land die. When the foaming agent passes through a part 8, wherein a cross-sectional area of the lengthy land die is made to increase, the foamed article having tiny bubles within the same is formed. The foamed article having uniform bubble structure is molded by making the rear part 9 of the lengthy land die possess necessary length for cooling the polymer to a temperature through which a shape of the polymer can be maintained sufficiently.
