Abstract:
A tube assembly for carrying malodoriforous matter from the human body comprises a silicone based tube having a central bore for the malodoriforous matter, and a tubular sleeve member comprising an odor barrier material, the silicone based tube and the tubular sleeve member being arranged one within the other such that the tubular sleeve member provides an odor barrier to obstruct leakage of odors from malodoriforous matter in the bore of the silicone based tube. The tube assembly is especially suitable for use in fecal or bowel management apparatus.

PURPOSE:To prevent a tube from being deformed, by securing and clamping a part where a tube has been heat-shrunk to the outer circumference of a notched section of a sheave by a split ring. CONSTITUTION:A roll 1 is rotated at a speed on the order of 10rpm and after one end of a tube 2 is heat-shrunk by hot air blown from a nozzle 5, the rotation of the roll 1 is stopped and immediately a split ring 3 is fitted to a notch section A of a sheave 1e of 1f where the one end of the tube 2 is present so that the end is clamped securely. Then the roll 1 is again rotated, and while hot air is blown from a nozzle 5 inclined at an angle of 45-60 deg. to the axis of the roll 1 and directed toward the secured split ring 3, the nozzle 5 is moved at a constant speed from the side where the split ring 3 is present toward the other side. Thus, foreign matter or air can be positively prevented from entering between the barrel outer surface of the roll and the tube inner surface, and the tube can be secured, so that the tube would not be deformed in use.

PURPOSE: To obtain a protective sheet enclosed container hardly receiving sheet damage and having smooth surface, by interposing a mechanically foamed resin of rubber film between a container and a heat shrinkable protective sheet for enclosing said container while applying heat treatment to the whole in said state. CONSTITUTION: An aqueous emulsion or rubber latex is mechanically foamed by a foaming machine and the foamed aqueous emulsion or rubber latex is applied to the outer peripheral surface of the container. The coated aqueous emulsion or rubber latex is dried to form a foam contained resin film or rubber film. Subsequently, a heat shrinkable sheet is allowed to cover the dried coated container and heat treatment is subsequently applied to shrink the heat shrinkable sheet to tighten and enclose the container. By this method, a protective sheet enclosed container hardly receiving sheet damage and having a smooth surface can be prepared. COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio

PURPOSE:To prepare a homogeneous product efficiently by a method wherein a synthetic resin tube is inserted into a metallic pipe, contracted or expanded by electromagnetic induction heating being attached closely to the pipe and to heat the tube by the heightened heat of the pipe itself. CONSTITUTION:The pipe 1 is passed at a preset speed through the inner portion of the coil 5 of an electromagnetic induction heating device A. The pipe 1 is heated, the temperature of the pipe rises, adhesive agent 2 is melted by the heightened temperature of the pipe 1 and the synthetic resin tube 3 is contracted thermally. The contracted tube 3 is attached closely to the peripheral surface of the pipe 1. The pipe 1 and the tube 3 are fixed completely by adhesive agent 2 to complete the coating process. Or, the inner circumference of the pipe 1 may be coated with the thermally expanding tube 3 or both inner and outer surfaces may be covered with the tubes 3, 3.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire harness which can be bent, can also be held in a desired shape, and whose costs can be suppressed without complicating structure as that of a protector.SOLUTION: A wire harness 9 is constituted by including: two high-voltage electric wires 19; a shield member 20 which covers the two high-voltage electric wires 19 to be shielded in block; and an exterior member 21 which is provided outside the shield member 20. The exterior member 21 consists of a shrinkable tube 28, and when the shrinkable tube 28 is contracted, a bent part 29 is formed according to an arrangement route of the wire harness 9. Then, the exterior member 21 can hold the shape of the arrangement route by formation of the bent part 29.
