Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of being difficult in manufacture itself in a method so far, and making selling difficult due to becoming extremely expensive, in manufacture of a rotary wing of a large diameter for a rotary wing plane with a shroud, a linear air blower and a liner wind power generator.SOLUTION: The rotary wing for the rotary wing plane with the shroud, the linear air blower and the linear wind power generator is provided by any of a dragonfly wing-like blade constituted of a tread 111, a riser surface 112 and a slope (an inclined face) 113 so that a cross section in a blade width (a blade chord) direction becomes step-wise, a J-shaped cross-sectional blade constituted only of the riser surface with the kicking-in length and the slope (the inclined face) except for the tread for constituting the dragonfly wing-like blade and a J-shaped back-to-back cross-sectional blade of constituting two sheets of J-shaped cross-sectional blades back-to-back.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety mechanism designed to prevent failures, in a disc rotor system which allows partial or full retraction of rotor blades to allow a helicopter as a vertical takeoff or landing aircraft to convert to wing supported flight for high speed cruise.SOLUTION: A disc rotor retraction system includes a main blade spar 22 incorporating a hydraulic cylinder 54 and having a screw thread 34. A ball screw 24 is concentrically carried within the main blade spar and is operably connected to a ball nut 60 which has an outboard end connected to an intermediate spar 26 with a hydraulic piston received for reciprocation in the hydraulic cylinder. A first geared actuator engages the ball screw and a second geared actuator engages a main blade spar screw thread.
