PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent method for removing tar in a fluidized bed furnace. SOLUTION: The method for removing tar in the fluid bed furnace is, in a system for obtaining a gas generated by gasifying, heat decomposing or partially oxidizing a raw material in a fluidized bed furnace, to adsorb/decompose tar generated from the raw material by using a fluidized catalytic cracking catalyst, a fluidized catalytic cracking balanced catalyst, silica-alumina-based particles or alumina-based particles produced by oil-immersion granulation method and/or to burn the tar by adhering to the fluidized catalytic cracking catalyst, the fluidized catalytic cracking equilibrium catalyst, the silica-alumina-based particles or the alumina-based particles produced by the oil-immersion granulation method. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid bed reactor in which a plurality of pulse heaters within a cluster are not required to be arranged in a plurality of rows.SOLUTION: Feedstock inlets 637 are configured to introduce a reactive material into a dry and devolatilization region 642 that is vertically between first and second clusters 610 and 620 of heating conduits. A first lower cluster 610 at least partially occupies the compartment 601 and extends over a first vertical extent within the compartment 601. A second upper cluster 620 partially occupies the compartment 601 and extends over a second vertical extent within the compartment 601. The first lower cluster is spaced apart from the second upper cluster 620 by a first separation distance S1 between the clusters.
