The color density of each of the wood plate patterns is different with the change in the arrangement and the thickness of the finishing coating film, while the hue of each of the wood plate patterns is different with the partial arrangement of the ink jet coating film. A method for manufacturing a building board comprises the step of applying an undercoating material to the surface of an inorganic base material having a plurality of wood plate patterns, the step of applying a finishing coating material having a pigment weight concentration (PWC) lower than that of the undercoating material and a different hue, the step of scraping away a part of the applied finishing coating material before curing of the finishing coating material, the step of partially applying an ink jet coating having a hue different from that of the finishing coating material, and the step of applying a clear coating material.
