    摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain an image having high quality and high resolution with high sensitivity to an energy signal by reducing the metallic ions in a metallic chelate compd. thereby forming the recording image consisting of the reduced metal atoms in a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The simplest constitution in which the monomolecular film or accumulated monomolecular film of a metallic chelate compd. 3 on a substrate is used to form a recording medium. If an active energy signal 6 of, for example, UV light or heat, etc. is irradiated to the recording medium, a metal 7 is deposited from the metallic chelate compd. in the irradiated part in the above-mentioned film and a recording image is formed. The metal 7 is ionized when the recording medium is exposed to a suitable oxidizing atmosphere and the erasing of the recorded image is possible when the medium is subjected to chelate reproduction in the case of the above-mentioned recording medium. The medium is thus usable as a reproducible recording medium.
