PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for forming a device, by which a pigment coating which is aligned magnetically on a release layer of a first substrate to be coated, is punched on another substrate or an object, or for example, hot-stamped, and which has an image form useful specially as a security device. SOLUTION: Multiply-stamped/aligned areas can be oriented differently on another substrate or the object in a form of a patchwork or a mosaic. For example, one area of a flake which is oriented north and south, stamped and aligned can be stuck to one region of the object or another substrate and another area of the same flake removed/stamped from the same substrate can be stuck to the same object or substrate so that the stuck flake is oriented east and west. First, these flakes are aligned and cured on the releasable substrate and then, they are stamped as patches having various shapes or sizes and the stamped patches are stuck/fixed to another substrate or the object. PURPOSE:To discriminate stacked copied paper sheets easily by the marks corresponding to the contents of the copies, by actuating ink attaching means at a set timing on receiving a paper detection signal to mark the side end of the paper. CONSTITUTION:A paper detector 4 provided with a light emitting diode 5, a phototransistor 6, etc. detects a copying paper sheet 1, then, actuates the timer 21 of a controller 20, and triggers a monostable multivibrator 22 after a time length of the timer 21 set by a setting device 18 through the timer 21. An electromagnetic clutch 11 is excited with a transistor 24 conducting for a prescribed time length, and a mark 1b is attached on the side end of the copying paper 1 with a stamp 8 moving at the same speed as the paper 1. The copied and stacked paper 1 can be easily discriminated by attaching the mark 1b at the position changed in accordance with the contents of copies by changing a set time length of the timer.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper folding device having compact construction for affixing a stamp while aligning the direction of the paper. SOLUTION: The paper folding device comprises a first folding means for creasing paper perpendicularly to the carrying direction and folding it, a second folding means for creasing it perpendicularly to the creasing direction of the first folding means, a reversing means for reversing the folded paper to turn it upside down, a rotating means for rotating the folded paper at 90° or 180°, a storing means for storing the reverse or not operated by the reversing means and the angle of rotation operated by the rotating means in association with a paper size and a folding type, and a stamping means for affixing a stamp on the paper while using the reversing means and the rotating means for keeping the upside-down turning direction and the longitudinal direction as prefixed, respectively, with reference to information stored in the storing means.
