    摘要: PURPOSE:To shorten the length of a structural part by disposing a check valve adapted to close an orifice in the expansion stroke and opening same in the contraction stroke in a rotary valve of a damping foce adjustable hydraulic buffer. CONSTITUTION:In a hydraulic buffer comprising a cylinder 1, a piston rod 2 and a piston 5, a check valve 22 is disposed in a rotary valve 16. The check valve 22 is operated in such a manner that the piston rod 2 closes an orifice 23A by expansion stroke and opens the orifice 24A by the contraction stroke, and designated damping force is generated by both strokes. Thus, part of a damping force generating mechamism can be reduced in size.
