A process for producing a premium Fischer-Tropsch diesel fuel which comprises (a) hydroprocessing a waxy Fischer-Tropsch feed to remove the oxygenates that are present in the feed, whereby a first Fischer-Tropsch intermediate product is produced with reduced olefins and oxygenates relative to the Fischer-Tropsch feed; (b) separating the first Fischer-Tropsch intermediate product in a separation zone into a heavy Fischer-Tropsch fraction and a light Fischer-Tropsch fraction under controlled separation conditions; (c) hydroisomerizing the heavy Fischer-Tropsch fraction to improve the cold flow properties of the heavy Fischer-Tropsch fraction and recovering an isomerized heavy Fischer-Tropsch fraction; (d) mixing the isomerized heavy Fischer-Tropsch fraction with at least a portion of the light Fischer-Tropsch fraction of (b); and (e) recovering from the blend a Fischer-Tropsch derived diesel product meeting a target value for at least one pre-selected specification for diesel fuel.

A catalyst composition comprising a minor amount of a low acidity, highly dealuminated ultra stable Y zeolite having an Alpha value of less than about 5, preferable less than about 3 and Broensted acidity measured by FT-IR from about 1 to about 20, preferably from about 1-10, micro mole/g of, a homogeneous, amorphous silica-alumina cracking component having an SB ratio of from about 0.7 to about 1.3, wherein a crystalline alumina phase is present in an amount of no greater than about 10%, preferably no greater than 5% and a catalytic amount of hydrogenation component selected from the group consisting of a Group VI metal, a Group VIII metal, and mixtures thereof is disclosed. The present invention provides for a process for converting hydrocarbonaceous oils comprising contacting the hydrocarbonaceous oils with the catalyst under suitable hydrocarbon conversion conditions. Such processes in include, but are not limited to, single stage hydrocracking, two-stage hydrocracking, series-flow hydrocracking, mild hydrocracking, lube hydrocracking, hydrotreating, lube hydrofinishing, hydrodesulphurization, hydrodenitrification, catalytic dewaxing and catalytic cracking.

A process for producing distillate boiling range streams that are low in both sulfur and aromatics. A distillate feedstock is treated in a first hydrodesulfurization stage in the presence of a hydrogen-containing treat gas and a hydrodesulfurization catalyst, thereby resulting in partial desulfurization of the stream. The partially desulfurized distillate stream is then treated in a second hydrodesulfurization stage, also in the presence of a hydrogen-containing treat gas and a hydrodesulfurization catalyst. The hydrogen-containing treat gas is cascaded from the next downstream reaction stage, which is an aromatics hydrogenation stage.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aviation fuel oil base material originating from an animal and vegetable oil which has a high yield of the aviation fuel oil base material and exhibits excellent low temperature performance. SOLUTION: The method for producing the aviation fuel oil base material includes: a first step of hydrogenating raw oil containing a mixture of two or more kinds of animal and vegetable oil having different fatty acid composition and a sulfur-containing hydrocarbon compound in the presence of hydrogen; and a second step of hydroisomerizing the hydrogenated oil obtained in the first step in the presence of hydrogen. In the mixture of the animal and vegetable oil, the total content of each fatty acid composition having a 9-15C fatty acid carbon chain is 50-70 mass% and the ratio of respective fatty aid compositions having a 11C, a 13C and 15C fatty acid carbon chain is 10-60 when total content of fatty acid composition having a 9-15C fatty acid carbon chain is defined as 100.
