PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal cylinder which ignites and burn safely and securely by automatically forming a detonator of an even thickness without relying on monitoring and adjustment by a visual observation by an operator as long as under a certain operation condition. SOLUTION: The detonator 1 is fixed by projecting a little from an outer side surface of a signal cylinder main body 9 on a peripheral edge part around an opening part of a top part of the signal cylinder main body 9 with a flaming agent or a fuming agent filled inside. A rubbing powder sheet with rubbing powder applied annularly on an inner surface lower end is bonded on an inner surface of a cylindrical lid 11. A soft resin sheet cushion material 5 for contact prevention is arranged annularly on the signal cylinder main body 9 between the detonator and rubbing powder. The signal cylinder ignites by pulling the cylindrical lid 9 upward while slightly rotating. Three to five pieces of space interval adjusting parts 14 spaced apart in a horizontal direction between the detonator 1 and the soft resin cushion material 5 form the detonator 1 in the peripheral edge part around the opening part of the top part of the signal cylinder main body 9 in the even thickness. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminant composition which burns by emitting colored flames of higher luminous intensity regardless of the amount of smoking equal to that heretofore. SOLUTION: A smoke candle is made by using the illuminant composition prepared by compounding 68 to 78 mass% strontium sulfate of an average particle size 10 to 500 μm which is a color developing/oxygen supplying agent, 3 to 7 mass% potassium perchlorate of an average particle size 2 to 50 μm which is an oxygen supplying agent, 0.4 to 4 mass% synthetic resin powder of an average particle size 2 to 500 μm which is an inflammable agent, 11 to 18 mass% sulfur of an average particle size 5 to 200 μm, and 1 to 5 mass% liquid combustibles with total 100 mass% illuminant composition.
