    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate prescribed information in a first unit and to transmit the information to the side of a second unit by utilizing respective transmission lines in a rotary position detector for which the first unit including a rotation sensor and the second unit including the excitation source of the rotation sensor are interconnected by a first transmission line for transmitting excitation signals from the excitation source and a second transmission line for transmitting detection signals from rotation signals.
    SOLUTION: The first unit (10) is provided with information signal generation means (12, R1-R4) for generating information signals of a frequency different from the one of the excitation signals on the basis of the excitation signals supplied from the second unit (20), and signal combining means (C2) for combining the information signals and the detection signals and outputting the composite signals to the second transmission line (30c, 30d). The second unit (20) is provided with signal separation means (24, 25) for separating the composite signals sent through the second transmission line (30c, 30d) to the detection signals and the information signals, and a signal processing means (26) for obtaining rotation position information on the basis of the separated detection signals and recognizing prescribed information on the basis of the separated information signals.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To achieve high speed responsiveness by multiplexing an origin signal C-phase and a magnetic pole position detection signal U-phase on the basis of the A-phase signal of an encoder during the rotation of a motor. CONSTITUTION:The position signals A, B of a rotary shaft become the outputs phiA, phiB of an encoder and the signal A becomes the select signal A of a multiplexer 1 and other signals C, U are selected to be outputted as a signal phiC. The signals phiA, phiB, phiC are introduced into a receiving circuit through a cable and the signals phiA, phiB become reversal + or -FB pulses by a differentiation circuit 3. The signal phiA becomes the selector signal of an addressable latch 2 and the signal phiC is inputted to the data input terminal D of the latch 2 and the opening and closing signal of a gate G is formed from a signal delayed by one clock time from the reversal + or -FB pulses. The reversal + or -FB pulses are applied to the latch 2 as a signal G through NAND 5 and a J-K flip-flop 4. By this constitution, accurate data signals C, U can be written in a bit address by the stable signal phiC.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To convert the angle of rotation of a resolver into a digital signal by operating the difference between the outputs of 1st and 2nd multiplication type D/A converters and outputting it as the control input of a voltage- controlled oscillation means. CONSTITUTION:The rotor winding 10c of the two-phase excited and one-phase output resolver 10 is connected to the analog reference input of a multiplication type D/A converter 2a constituting a multiplying means 2 and its output is connected to the uninvested input (+) of a subtracting means 4 consisting of resistances 4a - 4d and an operational amplifier 4e. The output of a sin2theta/2- function generating means 11 consisting of a ROM 11a, a multiplication type D/A converter 11b, and a variable resistance 11c, on the other hand, is connected to the inverted input (-) of the subtracting means 4. The voltage-controlled oscillation means 5 oscillates by receiving an error output which is the output of the subtracting means 4 to output a pulse train to a counting means 6, which outputs a digital signal; and a costheta-function generating means 7 and the sin2theta/2- function generating means 11 send their outputs to the multiplying means 2 and subtracting means 4 respectively. Consequently, the angle thetam of rotation of the resolver 10 is accurately converted into the digital signal.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To detect an absolute position without requiring a reed switch by supplying the two-phase output signals of one cycle per revolution of a resolver generated from two D-flip-flops. CONSTITUTION:The output pulse signal of the first rising differentiation circuit 5B exciting a resolver phase shifter 4, the output pulse signal of a falling differentiation circuit 14 and the output signal of the phase shifter 4 are compared by a voltage comparator 16 to obtain an output signal. Next, this output signal is applied to two D-flip-flops 10a, 10b. Subsequently, the two-phase output signals of one cycle per one revolution of a resolver generated from D-flip-flops 10a, 10b are supplied to a pulse distribution circuit 11 to generate one pulse per one revolution of the resolver by positive/negative rotation and said pulse is counted by a counter circuit 12. By this method, an absolute position can be detected without requiring a switch.
