    Abstract: A honeycomb structure that realizes maintaining of low pressure loss, ensuring of strength, avoiding of cracking or other damaging and further, at grasping by machine at the time of production, etc. or at mutual contact of ceramic members, etc., avoiding of chipping or other damaging. There is provided a honeycomb structure comprising, bonded to each other by means of an adhesive material layer, multiple porous ceramic members wherein multiple cells are disposed in parallel relationship along the longitudinal direction with a cell wall interposed therebetween and wherein on the outer edge thereof, there is disposed an outer edge wall, characterized in that the thickness of the outer edge wall of each of the porous ceramic members is greater than that of the cell wall, and that at least one of the cells positioned at the outermost circumference of each of the porous ceramic members at at least one of the corners of the cell is furnished with a matter filling the corner.
