CONSTITUTION: In a method for controlling thickness deviation of tandem mill in profile direction for rolling high strength ultra-thin strip, the method for controlling edge drop of high strength ultra-thin strip in tandem mill comprises a step of positioning rolling rolls at both end parts of strip to be rolled; and a step of reducing bending and elastic strain of work rolls for reducing the amount of edge drop, wherein rolling rolls both ends of which are formed in a conical shape are used as rolling rolls of the tandem mill, wherein the step of positioning rolling rolls at both end parts of strip to be rolled satisfies the following expression 1: WRδ=(BL-W)/2+EL-TL, where WRδ is horizontal moving distance of work rolls, BL is length of barrel of the work rolls, W is width of the work rolls, EL is length of a tapered part touching the strip, and TL is length of the tapered part, and wherein the step of reducing bending and elastic strain of work rolls for reducing the amount of edge drop satisfies the following expression 2: ED=-axDraft+bxTension+cxBender-dxShift, where ED is thickness deviation in profile direction, Draft is reduction ratio, Tension: tension, Bender: work roll bender, Shift: intermediate roll shift, and a, b, c and d: coefficients.

CONSTITUTION: In a shape control method for controlling crown of strip by controlling pair cross and bender force, the method for controlling shape of strip in pair cross rolling mill is characterized in that shape of the strip is controlled by minimizing deviation of crown strain difference at a position having the highest crown deviation during controlling of strip crown by combination of pair cross angle and bender force, wherein the position having the highest crown deviation is positioned in the range of 0.5x£strip width/2| - 0.6x£strip width/2| from the center of the strip, and wherein the optimum strain difference (εqi) positioned in the range of 0.5x£strip width/2| - 0.6x£strip width/2| from the center of the strip is calculated by the following expression: εqi=1/2xεi, where εqi is strain difference at a position corresponding to 1/4 width from the edge of the strip, and εi is the conventional optimum strain difference at a position that is 25 mm distanced from the edge of the strip.
