摘要： Door locking apparatus including electrically operated lock mounted in door surround structure and electrically operable to thrust lock bolt into recess in door. Door carries lock over-ride mechanism manually operable from one side of the door to push lock bolt from recess in event of power failure to allow emergency exit. Over-ride mechanism may be interconnected with conventional latch mechanism on door such that latch is operable from both sides of doors to control entry and exit when electrically operated lock is switched off during periods when security not necessary.

摘要： Code identification apparatus in which a magnetically coded key or like instrument is inserted into a reader which reads the code on the key. The reader has a guideway to receive the key and, adjacent the guideway, a row of code sensors disposed such that as the key is inserted into the guideway, rows of code locations on the key successively pass the row of code sensors. The reader incorporates signal processing circuitry which determines when there is an output signal from any one or more of the code sensors as a measure of time intervals during which successive rows of code locations are passing the sensors. The signals are accumulated during those time intervals and the accumulated signals registered at their conclusion.

摘要： Access control system in which a magnetically coded key or card is inserted into a reader which reads the recorded code. The key is coded by small permanent magnets embedded in non-magnetic body of key at positions on a 4 .times. 4 regular grid of possible positions. The reader includes row of 4 Hall Effect sensors adjacent keyway entrance so that the 4 rows of magnet positions pass successively across them. Signals generated in sensors are transmitted to signal storage units and extracted from the storage units on withdrawal of the key. Activation of sensors and transmission of signals is controlled by successive interruption by leading edge of key of light beams along the keyway.

摘要： A catch mechanism for installation in a door frame to cooperate with a door lock on a fire door. The mechanism includes a catch member pivotable between an operative position in which to serve as a door catch and an inoperative position to enable release of the door no matter what the condition of the door lock. The mechanism includes a heat responsive locking device which locks the catch member in its catch position in the event of a fire generating high temperatures. The locking device may comprise a biased locking plunger mounted in a cavity within the catch member and normally held in a retracted position by a heat fusible metal plug but extendible on melting of the plug to engage the catch body and so lock the catch member.
