摘要: Asphalt binders are modified using fractional products from waste tire pyrolysis, using an initial step of i) at least partially pyrolyzing, separately from such asphaltic binder, whole rubber articles or size-reduced rubber particles to provide one or more pyrolyzed rubber fractions including a pyrolyzed oil fraction having a selected minimum initial boiling point or flash point, and ii) removing some or all polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) compounds from such pyrolyzed oil fraction to provide a reduced-PAH and preferably translucent pyrolyzed oil fraction that may be combined with an asphaltic binder to provide a modified asphalt composition.

摘要: An asphalt binder includes an asphalt and an adhesion promoter composition. The adhesion promoter composition includes a vinyl acetate-ethylene (VAE)-based redispersible polymer and a wetting agent. The wetting agent includes at least one selected from the group consisting of: polyethylene glycol phenyl ether, polyethylene glycol higher alkyl, ether dialkyl sulfosuccinate, alkyl amine, alcohol amine, polyethyleneimine, and sorbitan aliphatic ethylene oxide adduct. Further, the wetting agent is included in an amount ranging from 0.5 to 45 percent by weight (wt %) with respect to the total weight of the adhesion promoter composition.

Methods of manufacturing the polymerized oil as well as its incorporation into asphalt paving, roofing, and coating applications are also described.

摘要: A coating system and related methods for an airfield surface or a roadway is described. The coating system may include a stable cationic emulsion for application to the airfield surface or the roadway. The stable cationic emulsion may include a) an asphalt blend comprising gilsonite, wherein the gilsonite is modified to possess a positive charge, b) one or more polymers, and c) one or more surfactants not including a cationic surfactant. The coating system may also include a fine aggregate material for application to the stable cationic emulsion applied to the airfield surface or the roadway.

摘要: The present invention discloses a resin infusion type water-permeable pavement material, comprising: a basic bituminous mixture, waterborne epoxy resin, a waterborne curing agent, a toughening agent and a diluting agent; and the basic bituminous mixture comprises coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, fillers and high-viscosity modified bitumen. A water-permeable pavement prepared by the material provided by the present invention has excellent interface bonding capability, favorable road utilization performance and functional performance.

The activator is mixed with the aggregate to form a homogenized mixture. A liquid is introduced into a homogenized mixture to form a slurry and then a pot hole filler. The pot hole filler is directed through an exit end of a mixing tube.

摘要: The aim of the invention is to provide, at a lower cost, novel primary mixtures that can be used for preparing polymer bitumens. For this purpose, the primary mixture according to the invention comprises: (a) at least 25% by weight, preferably 25 to 80% by weight, of polymer, (b) at least one thermoplastic tackifying resin having an average molecular mass of 100 to 3,000 g/mol, (c) and/or one or more mono-alkyl—preferably methyl—esters of fatty acids at C16-C18, in particular sunflower oil, linseed oil, rapeseed oil, soybean oil, and/or sunflower oil that is optionally isomerized; the ester (c) necessarily being present when the tackifying resin (b) has an acid value measured according to standard NF EN ISO 660 of less than 50 mg KOH/g. The invention also concerns the polymer bitumens, emulsions and coatings/coated products obtained from this primary mixture, as well as the methods for preparing same.
