Abstract: A temperature controlling device includes a setting controller, a gas valve, a burner, an inlet temperature sensor, a water meter, and an operational controller. User sets a desired temperature via the setting controller. The inlet temperature sensor senses an inlet temperature of water at an inlet of a pipe, and then operational controller calculates a difference between the inlet temperature and the desired temperature to get a total heat for heating water in a predetermined heating time and transfer the total heat into a total gas consumption, and controls the gas valve to supply gas to the burner with an amount of the total gas consumption in a predetermined heating time. After that, water should be heated to the desired temperature, and the operational controller controls the gas valve to decrease the gas supply for maintaining water temperature.

Abstract: A combustor assembly of a water heater, which is provided between an air blower and a burner set to guide air from the air blower to the burner set, includes a first board, a second board and a third board stacked in sequence. Between the first board and the second board there is a first chamber and a first port, and between the second board and the first board there is a second chamber and a second port. The second board and the third board both have apertures. These boards restrict and divide an air flow of the air blower to flow along several paths to increase heat efficiency.

Abstract: A water heater includes a case, in which a hot source, a cold source, a thermoelectric cooling chip, and a power requiring unit are provided. The thermoelectric cooling chip has a close loop with a hot junction adjacent to the hot source; and a cold junction adjacent to the cold source, that the thermoelectric cooling chip generates a current through the close loop when a temperature at the hot junction, is higher than a temperature at the cold junction. The power requiring unit is electrically connected to the close loop of the thermoelectric cooling chip; therefore, the power requiring unit may be driven by the power from the thermoelectric cooling chip, when the main power is low or off.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of testing gas supply of a gas appliance, which includes the steps of: monitoring a flow rate of a gas flow through a gas regulator of a pipeline to have a detected gas flow rate; comparing the detected gas flow rate with the ideal range of gas flow rate; and providing an alarm when the detected gas flow rate exceeds the ideal range of gas flow rate. The present invention further provides a compensating method when an abnormal condition is detected. The compensating method will change the gas flow rate or the air flow rate to get a proper air fuel ratio of the mixed gas.

Abstract: A method for examining water heater safety includes the steps of: setting a desired temperature and sensing a cold water temperature and a flow rate of water to calculate a theoretical gas consumption, and then supplying a combustor the theoretical gas consumption to heat water; sensing a hot water temperature, and calculating a temperature ratio by the desired temperature, the cold water temperature and the hot water temperature. Examining the temperature ratio may find that the water heater is abnormal or malfunctioning. An efficiency ratio may also be calculated by the theoretical gas consumption and the actual gas consumption. Examining the efficiency ratio may find that the water heater is abnormal or malfunctioning as well.

Abstract: A heat-dissipating structure includes a base seat, a plurality of heat-dissipating fins and a heat pipe. The heat-dissipating fins are separated from each other by a predetermined distance, and each heat-dissipating fin has a base portion and at least one bending portion that is bent and extended upwards from one side of the base portion. The length of each bending portion is the same to or larger than the length of the base portion. The heat pipe is connected with the base seat, and at least one side of the heat pipe passing through the base portions of the heat-dissipating fins. Therefore, the present invention can obtain a perfect heat-dissipating coefficient and a better heat-dissipating efficiency by using the bending portion that is bent and extended upwards from one side of the base portion.

Abstract: A method for power management of CPU and a system thereof which drive the CPU enter a most efficient power saving state is disclosed. A chip of the present invention sends a first control signal to drive the CPU to wake from the non-snooping sleep state and enter a normally executing instruction state as well as a system management mode to execute a system management interrupt routine. Then the chip enables an arbiter to transmit the bus master request to the CPU for processing. After completing processing the bus master request, the chip disables the arbiter and the CPU drives the chip sends a second control signal to drive the CPU return to the non-snooping sleep state according the system management interrupt routine.
