    摘要： An agricultural wrap includes a continuous planar main body formed of a flexible and permeable material, an amount of growing matter, and at least one irrigation tube. The body has first and second sides, first and second ends, an inner surface, an outer surface disposed against a base surface, and at least one aperture. With the growing matter disposed against the inner surface, the first and second sides are positioned around the growing matter to define a holding pocket. An irrigation tube being disposed against the main body and above the base surface leaks water that permeates through the main body and saturates the growing matter.

    摘要： An interface cable assembly, which enables the user of either an iPhone® or Android® smartphone to record both incoming and outgoing telephone conversations on a standard dual channel (stereo) audio recorder in either WMA or MP3 format, includes one four-conductor plug that engages the audio input/output jack of the smartphone, one three-conductor plug that engages the dual-channel input jack of an audio recorder, and one four-conductor jack that engages the plug of a standard earphone and microphone assembly. In addition, the cable assembly includes resistors and capacitors which provide an impedance match between the input/output circuitry and the audio recorder input circuitry. In order to clearly distinguish between the participants in a recorded telephone conversation, outgoing voice signals are recorded on one channel of the audio recorder, while incoming voice signals are recorded on the other channel.

A sensor receives a sample of wireless signals from the antenna and communicates data about the signal back to the transmitter in a manner such that the antenna pattern is undisturbed. An optical coupler, e.g., fiber optic, is used to send data from the sensor to the transmitter. Power for the sensor can be derived parasitically from the wireless signal or can be provided to the sensor optically.

    摘要： In blood pressure measurement of a vertebrate through use of an inflatable pressure cuff disposed about a limb of the vertebrate limb and inflated by pump driven by a motor, the air pressure within the cuff is determined at any given time during the inflation of the cuff by calculating the incremental change in pressure in the pressure cuff over a series of small time increments and summing the calculated incremental pressure changes from the initiation of cuff inflation to a desired point in time during the inflation of the pressure cuff. The incremental change in pressure within the cuff is calculated as a function of the incremental change in current drawn by the pump motor over the time increment.

    摘要： A method of characterizing relative risks associated with a plurality of financial products comprises the steps of identifying one or more risk classes associated with the products, determining for each risk class an expected occurrence rate, dividing the expected occurrence rates by an average rate to determine relative risk ratios, and comparing the relative risk ratios to characterize the relative risks associated with the products. In certain embodiments, one or more of the risk classes are associated with one or more criteria. The criteria may be modified and the method repeated to determine an impact of the modification on the relative risks associated with the products. The relative risk ratio may be used to redefine one or more of the risk classes. Certain embodiments may include the step of determining a separate relative risk ratio for subgroups of risks. Others may include the step of using the relative risk ratio to determine an impact on the risk class of including in that class one or more risks that do not meet one or more of the criteria associated with that class.
