Abstract:
A shoe lace securement mechanism including a spool, a threading and locking mechanism, a cap, and an ornamental casing. The mechanism is designed to maintain shoe lace tension without the need for a bow or knot and modularly applicable to a wide variety of footware.
Abstract:
An improved gas separation PSA process, more particularly for oxygen production, utilizing adsorbents of Type X characterized by high frequency (i.e., cycle times of less than 4 s), bed length to square of mean particle diameter ratio within 200 to 600 mm−1, bed size factor of less than 50 lb/TPDO. The bed length, mean particle size, and cycle time are selected in a range such that axial dispersion becomes an important factor. In this way, low product recovery and high pressure drop (high power consumption) disadvantages often associated with the use of small particles are overcome.
Abstract:
Generally provided is a system and method that determines a force-travel profile of a shifter in a vehicle having a shifter having an associated shifter shaft for a transmission. The feel of the shifter to a user of the shifter may be improved by using present system. Additionally, accurate measurements for determining shifter forces applied to a shifter and corresponding position of the shifter are performed. In operation, the system correlates the forces applied to the shifter and associated movement of the shifter to determine an associated feel of the shifter. The system operates to equate the forces correlating to the shifter and movement of the shifter to calibrate a feel of the shifter for a user applying the force to the shifter to actuate the shifter.
Abstract:
A measuring system that relate to the measurement of relatively small one degree of freedom mechanisms, such as pivoting and rotary switches, is disclosed. In particular end effectors and a kit for assembling various end effector assemblies is disclosed, that allow for accurate measurement of torque versus angular displacement curves for various types of pivoting and rotary switches.

Abstract:
A method may be employed to assure that a switch feel measurement system accurately measures a torque/angular displacement profile for a pivot switch. A procedure may be employed that aligns the pivot axis of the switch with the rotational axis of the measurement unit of the switch measurement system.
Abstract:
A toy glider is provided in the form of an animal figure having an elongated fuselage, a nose section, in the form of an animal head attached by a hinge to the front end of the fuselage, a tail section in the form of a pair of animal legs terminating in feet and attached by a hinge to the rear end of the fuselage and a pair of animal wings attached to the sides of the fuselage. The feed may rest on a horizontal surface and form an animal in a biped standing position. In a preferred embodiment each wing each has a root section retained in a recess in the fuselage, and each wing has a outer section joined to the respective root section by a hinge. The outer wing sections and the legs are all approximately the same length and are rotatable downward approximately ninety degrees so the wing tips and feet of the legs may rest on a horizontal surface and form an animal in a quadruped standing position, or the legs may rest on a horizontal surface with the torso upright to form an animal in a sitting position, and the outer wing sections may be rotated so tips are touching and the head rotated down to the wing tips to form an animal in an eating position.
