摘要: A continuously advancing machine for track leveling, lining and tamping comprises a main frame, a single undercarriage supporting the main frame and the main frame having a portion projecting in the track direction from the single undercarriage, a drive connected to the single undercarriage for continuously advancing the main frame in an operating direction, a brake connected to the single undercarriage for stopping the advancing main frame, and an operator's cab, a control arrangement and a power plant mounted on the continuously advancing main frame. The machine further comprises a tool-carrying frame, an undercarriage supporting the tool-carrying frame on the track, the tool-carrying frame supporting undercarriage being widely spaced from the main frame supporting undercarriage and the projecting main frame portion being longitudinally displaceably supported on the tool-carrying frame, a drive for intermittently advancing the tool-carrying frame, tie tamping and track position correcting tools mounted on the tool-carrying frame within sight of the operator's cab, the tools including drives for operating the tools and the drives being actuated by the control arrangement, and a track position reference system connected to the control arrangement for actuating the drives of the track position correcting tools in response to the track position detected by the reference system.

摘要: A method for sequentially exchanging selected consecutive groups of old ties for groups of new ties while retaining groups of old ties between the selected old ties in a railroad track consisting of two rails fastened to the ties supported on ballast, which method comprises advancing at least one elongated bridge-like work vehicle along the track, sequentially operating a succession of different individual devices mounted on the advancing work vehicle to remove rail fastening elements whereby the selected ties are detached from the rails, to remove tie plates positioned between the detached ties and the rails, to withdraw the detached ties laterally from the track, to scarify the ballast where the detached ties have been withdrawn whereby shaped recesses are formed in the ballast under the rails, to insert new ties in the shaped recesses, to place new tie plates between the new ties and the rails, to tamp ballast under the new ties, and to fasten the rails to the new ties. The different individual operating devices are intermittently displaced along the elongated work vehicle for effectuating the sequential operation thereof while the work vehicle advances.

摘要: A mobile machine for leveling, lining and tamping a track has a heavy main frame supported on undercarriages for continuous movement in an operating direction, a power plant, a drive for continuously advancing the main frame along the track in the operating direction and a brake for stopping the advance of the main frame, the power plant, the drive and the brake carried by the main frame, and a lighter subframe pivotally and longitudinally adjustably connected to the heavy main frame. Tamping heads are mounted on the subframe for tamping ballast in intermittent tamping cycles under respective the ties at points of intersection of the two rails and the ties. A track lifting and lining unit is associated with the two rails mounted on the subframe ahead of the tamping heads in the operating direction, and the tamping heads and track lifting and lining unit being arranged on the subframe between two undercarriages spaced in the direction of the track, one of said undercarriages wherebetween the tamping and track lifting and lining unit is arranged being a further undercarriage supporting the subframe on the track. There is another drive for stop-and-go advancement of the subframe synchronously with the intermittent tamping cycles, and a stop-and-go advancement drive and/or brake arranged to operate on the further undercarriage.

摘要: A mobile track leveling machine comprises a pneumatic arrangement for introducing additional ballast into a gap between a track bed and a lifted track, which includes a storage container for the ballast, a vertically adjustable pipe arranged to receive ballast from the storage container and to be immersed in the track bed alongside a longitudinal edge of a respective track tie, the pipe having a tapered end for ready penetration into the track bed and a flattened side defining an outlet for the additional ballast facing the longitudinal tie edge. Compressed air is delivered into the pipe for moving the additional ballast therethrough and out of the outlet. A power drive vertically adjusts the pipe, a stop is arranged on the pipe for engagement with the lifted track to limit the immersion depth thereof, and a power-driven metering device is arranged between the storage container and the pipe for delivering a metered amount of the additional ballast from the container to the pipe, the additional ballast amount being metered by the device in response to the lifting stroke to fill the gap between the track bed and the lifted tie.

摘要: An apparatus for tensioning or longitudinally sliding a rail of a laid track to reduce a gap between adjacent ends of longitudinally successive rail sections to be welded together to form the rail, the fastening elements of the longitudinally successive rail sections having been loosened, which comprises a closed, ring-shaped mechanical structural unit including two longitudinally spaced pairs of rail clamping jaws and two transversely spaced hydraulic cylinder-piston devices connecting the pairs of rail clamping jaws and operating the same. 摘要: In a method for automatically leveling a track comprised of two rails fastened to a succession of ties supported on a ballast bed to establish a desired track level, wherein successive track sections including a respective one of the ties are consecutively raised, additional track bed material is blown under each one of the raised ties to fill a gap between the ballast bed and each raised tie, and the raised track sections are lowered after the additional track bed material has been blown under the raised ties, the steps of measuring the existing track level at each tie to be raised and obtaining a corresponding parameter, establishing the difference between the parameter corresponding to the existing track level and a parameter corresponding to the desired track level, raising each successive track section above the desired track level, and controlling the amount of the additional track bed material blown under each raised tie at a point of intersection between the tie and a respective one of the rails in proportion to the established difference between the parameters corresponding to the existing and desired track levels.

A respective drive displaces each tie pulling and inserting device with respect to the work vehicle frame along a displacement path extending in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the work vehicle frame.

摘要: A tamping tool unit for a ballast tamping machine has a frame and a tamping tool unit carrier vertically adjustably mounted on the frame. The unit has a pair of tamping tool holders, each holder having affixed thereto a tamping tool for immersion in the ballast adjacent a point of intersection of a track tie and rail where the track is supported on the ballast. A transverse axle pivotally supports each tamping tool holder on the carrier and a hydraulic reciprocating drive pivots the tamping tool holders independently of each other and asynchronously towards and away from each other transversely to the track tie. Each axle is eccentrically supported to impart thereto a constant horizontal and vertical motion with respect to the carrier and a transmission connected to the eccentric axle supports and is arranged to cause the motions of the axles to be effected in opposite directions. A common vibrating drive is connected to one of the supports for rotating the same about an axis of rotation to impart to the axles revolving motions in opposite directions. The axes of rotation of the eccentric axle supports are so spaced from the axles that the axles move in orbits downwardly in the portions of the orbits facing each other whereby the lower ends of the tamping tools are vibrated in elliptical paths downwardly with respect to the track support point.
