Abstract: For example, an apparatus may include logic and circuitry configured to cause a non Access Point (AP) (non-AP) station (STA) to identify one or more Transmit (Tx) unavailability (Tx-unavailability) time periods during which the non-AP STA is to be at a Tx-unavailability mode at which the non-AP STA is to be unavailable to transmit to an AP and to be available to receive transmissions from the AP. For example, the non-AP STA may be configured to transmit a frame including Tx-unavailability information to the AP. For example, the Tx-unavailability information may be configured to indicate the one or more Tx-unavailability time periods.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices for using a per-bandwidth virtual sensing network allocation vector (NAV) for sub-band operations. An access point may send an overlapping basic service set (OBSS) frame using at least a subset of an operating bandwidth of the access point, wherein the OBSS frame signals to a receiving device operating in the at least the subset of the operating bandwidth to set a network allocation vector (NAV) of the receiving device to on only in the at least the subset of the operating bandwidth; send an initial control frame (ICF) using the operating bandwidth; identify an initial control response (ICR) received, based on the ICF and based on the OBSS frame having used the at least the subset of the operating bandwidth; send an in-basic service set (in-BSS) transmission; and identify an acknowledgement to the in-BSS transmission.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide favored channel access for STAs whose transmissions have failed or collided. After a first collision or transmission failure, a STA receives prioritized access in order to re-transmit a PPDU. If an initial transmission of the PPDU is unsuccessful (e.g., the initial transmission fails or if the PPDU collides with another transmission), for retransmission of the PPDU, the STA may update the EDCA parameters to EDCA parameters for prioritized access, may determine a backoff for accessing the wireless medium, and may retransmit the PPDU based on the EDCA parameters for prioritized access (i.e., using the updated EDCA parameters). The EDCA parameters for prioritized access may be configured to give the STA a higher probability of accessing the wireless medium for a PPDU retransmission than use of the initial EDCA parameters.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to communicating time-critical ultra-low latency (ULL) data using one or more dedicated resource units (RUs). A station (STA) decodes a trigger frame received from an access point station (AP) encoded to indicate resource units (RUs) of an UL PPDU for an uplink multi-user orthogonal frequency division multiple access (UL MU OFDMA) data transmission by a first and a second station STA. The trigger frame may also be encoded to indicate configuration information for a dedicated RU for time-critical ultra-low latency (ULL) UL data. The dedicated RU may be one RU of one or more RUs of the UL PPDU that are reserved for time-critical communications. The STA may encode time-critical ULL UL data for transmission to the AP on the dedicated RU during the uplink MU OFDMA data transmission by the first and second STAs. The time-critical ULL UL data may start at any time during transmission of the UL PPDU. Medium access control layer (MAC) padding may be included in a MAC payload until the time-critical ULL UL data is available at the MAC layer of the STA.

Abstract: Methods, computer readable media, and apparatus for determining a receive (Rx) number of spatial streams (NSS) for different bandwidths (BWs) and modulation and control schemes (MCSs) are disclosed. An apparatus is disclosed comprising processing circuitry configured to decode a supported HE-MCS and a NSS set field, the supported HE-MSC and NSS set field received from an high-efficiency (HE) station. The processing circuitry may be further configured to determine a first maximum value of N receive (Rx) SS for a MCS and a bandwidth (BW), where the first maximum value of N Rx SS is equal to a largest number of Rx SS that supports the MCS for the BW as indicated by the supported HE-MCS and NSS set field; and, determine additional maximum values based on an operating mode (OM) notification frame, and a value of an OM control (OMC) field. Signaling for BW in 6 GHz is disclosed.

Abstract: An access point (AP) may be configured by processing circuitry to operate as a coordinator AP for performing BSS channel level coordination. The coordinator AP is configured to assign non-overlapping channels to one or more coordinated APs of overlapping BSSs to schedule time-sensitive traffic to help ensure bounded latency, jitter and reliability per BSS. In some embodiments, the AP may be configured for performing transmission level coordination and may initiate a coordinated transmission opportunity (TXOP) for resource assignment to control contention access among managed BSSs. To perform the BSS channel level coordination, the coordinator AP is configured to encode a multi-AP trigger frame (M-TF) to initiate the coordinated TXOP. The M-TF may be encoded to include a time-sensitive operation IE indicating how each STA is to access the channel within the coordinated TXOP.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for trigger frames or transmission opportunities with multiple start times and delayed uplink start are disclosed. Apparatuses of a station (STA) are disclosed, where the apparatuses comprise processing circuitry configured to decode a trigger frame, the trigger frame indicating a time allocation of a plurality of time allocations and indicating a resource unit (RU) for an uplink transmission for the STA. The processing circuitry is further configured to: encode an uplink (UL) trigger-based (TB) physical (PHY) protocol data unit (PPDU) in accordance with the time allocation and the RU and configure the STA to transmit the UL TB PPDU on the RU during the time allocation. Trigger frames are disclosed that include indications of multiple time allocations for multiple RUs where the STAs are permitted to use delayed transmissions or random access within the time allocations.
