摘要： A transporting device includes steering rollers, a center roller which is disposed between the steering rollers and deflection-detecting sensors that are positioned downstream from the steering rollers. When a sheet of paper has a width which is narrower than a width of a reference sheet of paper, the positional deflection of the sheet of paper is corrected by transporting the sheet of paper to a shift roller with the sheet of paper being nipped by the center roller and thrusting a forward end of the sheet of paper against a shift roller. When a sheet of paper has a width which exceeds the width of the reference sheet of paper, the positional deflection of the sheet of paper is corrected by rotating the steering rollers separately based on a detected result of the sensors with the sheet of paper being nipped by the steering rollers.

摘要： A developing agent replenishing device includes: a developing agent storing container having a spiral protrusion in an interior thereof, including a container main body for storing therein a developing agent and a movable cover for opening or closing a developing agent discharging opening provided on one end of the container main body; a container mounting section to which the storing container is mounted, wherein the developing agent stored in the storing container is discharged by rotating the storing container; a developing agent reserving section for reserving therein the developing agent discharged from the storing container; a cover engagement portion for engaging with the movable cover when the storing container is mounted to the container mounting section; and a holding and moving device for holding a part of the storing container and for moving the storing container when the storing container is mounted to the container mounting section. The movable cover and the storing container main body are relatively moved by moving the storing container by the holding and moving device, thereby the discharging opening is opened, and consequently communicates with the developing agent reserving section so that the developing agent in the storing container can be discharged.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes: a recording material accommodating device for accommodating recording materials; an image forming device for forming an image on the recording material; a conveyance section for conveying the recording material fed from the recording material accommodating device to the image forming device; a reversal and re-feeding device having a sheet reversal section and a sheet re-feeding section for conducting image formation on two sides of the recording material. After the image is formed by the image forming device on one side surface of the recording material conveyed from the recording material accommodating device through the conveyance section, the recording material is conveyed to the reversal and re-feeding device, and conveyed again to the image forming device through the sheet re-feeding section of the reversal and re-feeding device and the conveyance section, and an image is formed on the other side surface of the recording material by the image forming device. The image forming apparatus further includes a first regulating device provided on the sheet re-feeding section of the reversal and re-feeding device for regulating the recording material conveyed; and a second regulating device provided on the conveyance section in the vicinity of the image forming device for regulating the recording material conveyed.

摘要： The invention concerns an image forming apparatus provided with an automatic writing-position determining device for forming an image always at a correct position on the recording material. The image forming apparatus includes an image forming section to form an image by writing each of scanning lines, an end position detecting section to detect an end position of a recording material in a direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of the recording material, and a selecting section to select either an automatic writing-position determining mode or a predetermined writing-position determining mode. When the selecting section selects the automatic writing-position determining mode, the image forming section commences an image writing action from a writing start position determined on the basis of a detected result of the end position detecting device. When the selecting section selects the predetermined writing-position determining mode, the image forming section commences the image writing action from a predetermined writing start position set in advance.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes: a writing device for writing an image on the basis of image data thereof; a controller for controlling a writing position in a primary scanning direction by the writing device; a conveying device for conveying a recording material; and a position detecting sensor for detecting an edge of the recording material, which is conveyed by the conveying device in the primary scanning direction as an absolute position. The controller determines the writing position in the primary scanning direction by the writing device on the basis of a position of the edge of the recording material in the primary scanning direction detected by the position detecting sensor, and controls the writing position of the writing device in the primary scanning direction.
