摘要： A lighted exterior mirror system includes an exterior mirror assembly having a folding portion and a non-folding portion. A ground illumination light of the exterior mirror assembly is configured to illuminate with white light a ground area adjacent the equipped side of the vehicle at least at a front door region at the side of the vehicle where occupants may enter/exit exit the vehicle. The ground illumination light includes at least one light emitting diode, which is connected in series with a resistor that acts as a voltage divider to reduce an ignition voltage of the equipped vehicle to a reduced voltage, with the resistor having a resistance of less than about 1,500 ohms. The ground illumination light provides ground illumination of at least about one lux illumination intensity at least on the ground area adjacent the front door region at the equipped side of the vehicle.

摘要： A lighted exterior mirror system includes an exterior mirror assembly having a folding portion and a non-folding portion. The non-folding portion is configured to mount to a side of a vehicle and the folding portion includes a reflective element. The folding portion is movable relative to the non-folding portion and between a normal operating position and a folded position. A ground illumination light is configured to project a pattern of light from the exterior mirror assembly to provide a lighted zone on a ground area adjacent the side of the vehicle at least at a front door region at the side of the vehicle where occupants may enter/exit the vehicle. The pattern of light projected by the ground illumination light provides ground illumination of at least about one lux illumination intensity at least on the ground area adjacent the front door region at the side of the vehicle.

摘要： An interior rearview mirror assembly for a vehicle includes a mirror casing, a reflective element and a self-contained light module. The light module includes an illumination source, a user actuatable input for activating and deactivating the illumination source, and a first electrical connector. The light module is disposed at least partially within the mirror casing so that the first electrical connector is substantially aligned with an opening in the mirror casing. The casing includes a receiving structure at the opening that is configured to guide and/or at least partially receive a second electrical connector of a wire harness of the vehicle when the second electrical connector is being connected to the first electrical connector. The user actuatable input is operable by an occupant of the vehicle to apply an electrical power signal to the illumination source when the wire harness is connected to the interior mirror assembly.

摘要： A lighted vehicular mirror assembly includes a mirror case, a reflective element, a support for mounting the assembly on a vehicle, and two lamp assemblies, each having a light source, a reflector member, and a lens. Each reflector member is shaped to direct light emitted by the light source to form a pattern of light directed generally downwardly and rearwardly when the light source is electrically activated. The reflector and lens in each lamp assembly work with one another to collect and direct light to different areas of the vehicle, preferably the lap areas of the driver and front seat passenger of the vehicle. Each reflector member preferably minimizes at least one of light bending, shaping and diffusing of light by its respective lens.

The signal light includes at least one light emitting diode. The signal light is configured to emit a light pattern and the light pattern is defined at least between a forward leading edge and a rearward leading edge. The forward leading edge of the light pattern forms a forward angle that is in the range of about zero degrees to about 45 degrees relative to the side of a vehicle equipped with the lighted exterior mirror system, and the rearward leading edge of the light pattern forms a rearward angle that is in the range of about zero degrees to about 15 degrees relative to the side of the equipped vehicle.
