    摘要: A customizer autonomically customizes a virtual appliance by retrieving customization values for various customizable properties of a virtual machine from various providers to customize the virtual appliance in order to simplify deployment of the virtual appliance. The customization properties may include CPU properties, memory properties, storage properties, network properties and properties specific to the software in the virtual appliance. The customizer allows an end user to initiate autonomic customization of the virtual appliance at various times prior to deployment of the virtual appliance. The customizer also allows the user to provide additional customization upon execution.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method, system and program product for deploying, allocating and providing backup for an autonomic sensor network ecosystem. Under the present invention, the autonomic sensor network ecosystem includes: (1) a set (e.g., one or more) of sensor networks for storing data components; (2) a set of sensor collector information gateways in communication with the sensor networks; and (3) a set of enterprise gateways and storage hubs (hereinafter enterprise gateways). Each sensor network includes a set of sensor peers and at least one super peer. The super peer manages the sensor network and communicates with the set of sensor collector information gateways. The autonomic sensor network ecosystem of the present invention is deployed and allocated in such a manner that backup and resiliency is provided.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method, system and program product for deploying and allocating resources, and addressing threats in an autonomic sensor network ecosystem. Specifically, under the present invention, the autonomic sensor network ecosystem includes a set (e.g., one or more) of sensor networks each having a set of sensor peers and at least one super peer; a set of micro grid gateways; and a set of enterprise gateways. Each micro grid gateway is typically adapted to receive requests from a sensor network, an enterprise gateway, and/or another micro grid gateway. Moreover, each micro grid gateway includes a request broker for receiving the requests; a request queue manager for queuing the requests; a scheduler for scheduling the requests; and a resource manager for monitoring the set of sensor networks.
