摘要: A hybrid utility vehicle has a vehicle body and at least first and second driving wheels, each driving wheel has two wheels provided on opposite sides of the vehicle. Each of the wheels is drivable by a drive unit, whereby the speed of each wheel may be adjusted independently of the speed of the other wheels, thereby enabling adjustment of the relative position between a wheel of the first set of driving wheels (5a-b, 5e-f) and a wheel of the second set of driving wheels, and wherein the vehicle further has at least one actuator for enabling adjustment of the relative position between the first set of driving wheels and the second set of driving wheels. A method and control unit for control of the vehicle are also disclosed.

摘要: A wireless communication network updates packet zone tracking variables for mobile stations having packet data connections with the network in a manner consistent with that used by the mobile stations for their locally stored packet zone tracking variables. The network consequently reduces the incidence of unnecessary link renegotiations by reducing mismatches between network-stored and mobile-stored packet zone tracking information. A network routing entity may be configured to update a stored packet zone tracking variable for a mobile station if that mobile's link is renegotiated in dormant handoff of the mobile station but not for hard handoff renegotiations. The entity may maintain two or more tracking variables for the mobile station, one that is updated for hard and dormant handoff renegotiations, and one that is updated for dormant handoff renegotiations so as to better match the mobile-stored variable. A third tracking variable may be passed by base stations during hard handoff.

摘要: A method of controlling operation of an energy system for a hybrid vehicle, the energy system including a combustion engine controlled to work at a desired engine rotational speed; an electric generator/motor driven by the combustion engine to output a generated electric power; a power consuming device driven by the combustion engine and drivable by the electric generator/motor; and an energy storage device connected to the electric generator/motor and arranged to receive the generated electric power output by the electric generator/motor. The method includes the steps of: monitoring an actual engine rotational speed; and if the actual engine rotational speed decreases from the desired engine rotational speed, controlling the electric generator/motor to output a gradually reducing generated electric power. Hereby, the combustion engine can be allowed to remain in an operating range where it works efficiently, while at the same time fulfilling the need for power of the power consuming device.

摘要: A session controller provides mobility management support in a 1xEVDO wireless communication network, such as one configured in accordance with the TIA/EIA/IS-856 standard. Operating as a logical network entity, the SC maintains location (e.g., a pointing tag) and session information at an access network controller (ANC) granularity, thus allowing it to track access terminal (AT) transfer between ANCs but within subnet boundaries, where a network subnet comprises one or more ANCs. This allows a packet control function (PCF) to maintain location information at a packet zone granularity, thereby reducing mobility management overhead at the PCF. The SC provides updated tag and session information to PCFs, ANCs, and other SCs as needed. Information exchange with other SCs arises, for example, when two or more SCs cooperate to maintain or transfer routing and session information across subnets.

摘要: A serving MSC in a wireless communication network, such as an IS-2000 network, uses standard signaling messages in an unconventional manner to allow it to take on the role of an anchor MSC under certain inter-MSC handoff conditions. When a mobile station engaged in an active packet data call is handed off from an anchor MSC to the serving MSC, the serving MSC sends an indication to the anchor MSC that the data call has been released even though the call is still active. The serving MSC then causes the HLR location information for the mobile station to be updated to identify the serving MSC as the new anchor MSC. Thus, the serving MSC becomes the anchor MSC under conditions where it otherwise would not, which avoids routing subsequent voice calls through the previous anchor MSC. The above approach also includes variations that accommodate concurrent voice and data handoff scenarios.

摘要: A method and apparatus provide network-based flow control for mobile station having data connections to the network. In an exemplary embodiment, a Packet Control Function (PCF) in a Radio Access Network (RAN) requests that a Packet Data Serving Node (PDSN) in a Packet Core Network (PCN) turn flow control on and off as needed for mobile station data connections. That is, if the PCF receives data from the PDSN for delivery to a mobile station that the PCF determines to be unavailable, the PCF requests that data transfers from the PDSN be suspended for that mobile station. Such suspension avoids needless continued transfer of undeliverable data to the PCF. The PCF monitors or otherwise determines whether a flow-controlled mobile station has become available again and, if so, notifies the PDSN so that it can lift the suspension and resume data transfers as needed.

摘要: A call handling method and apparatus provide improved call handling in scenarios where concurrent voice and data service is not supported, or is not possible. A wireless communication network can be configured to provide real-time notifications of incoming voice calls to mobile stations that are busy in data calls, and can route those incoming voice call to voice mail, etc. The network can be configured to attempt call delivery of an incoming voice call to a mobile station busy in a data call with or without prompting the mobile station user, depending on the type of data service the mobile station is engaged in. According to exemplary embodiments, the traffic channel and other resources as desired are retained from the data call for use in supporting the voice call. Also, the mobile stations can be configured to support such notification, reconfiguration and channel retention processing.
