    Abstract: Apparatus and methods are described including placing a valve frame within a subject's heart. The valve frame is configured to support the prosthetic valve within the native atrio-ventricular valve and includes a valve frame body having atrial and ventricular parts and at least one arm that is configured to extend from the ventricular part. The arm is deployed among chords of the native atrio-ventricular valve and is rotated, such as to pull the native atrio-ventricular valve radially inward toward the valve frame and twist the native atrio-ventricular valve around the valve frame, by recruiting and deflecting at least a portion of the chords. The frame body of the valve frame traps the native valve leaflets in a partially closed and twisted configuration by radially expanding, to thereby at least partially seal a space between the native atrio-ventricular valve and the prosthetic valve. Other applications are also described.

    Abstract: A method of determining a condition of a subject comprises receiving functional magnetic resonance (MR) data and structural MR data, each describing the brain of the subject. A subject-specific functional connectome (FC) is constructed using the functional MR data, and a subject-specific structural connectome (SC) is constructed using the structural MR data. A convolutional neural network (CNN) is fed with the subject-specific FC and SC. The CNN has a first set of layers that separately process the subject-specific FC and SC, and a second set of layers that process combined outputs from the first set of layers. An output indicative of the condition of the subject is received from the second set of layers of the CNN.

The method includes receiving data regarding expression levels of amplicon sequence variants (ASVs) of a V4 region of 16S rRNA in a GI sample of a subject, and utilizing a machine learning algorithm that is trained to distinguish a healthy state from a sick state, a score is computed, and a prediction is made for the presence of a general microbial response that is shared by a large variety of diseases.

    Abstract: Apparatus and methods are described herein including an expandable prosthetic mitral valve device that includes a first component configured to be deployed in the left atrium of a subject and a second component configured to be deployed in a left ventricle of the subject. At least one approximating component approximates the first and second components with respect to each other, such that, when the first and said second components are in an approximated configuration with respect to each other, one or more leaflets of the native mitral valve are trapped within the gap between a ventricular part and an annulus part. The approximating component secures the annulus part and the ventricular part in the approximated configuration. Other applications are also described.
