Abstract: An insulated electrical wire of an embodiment includes a conductor having a first and a second lateral face which are opposed to each other; and a first and a second insulating film which are arranged on the first and second lateral faces, respectively, and each of which has a pair of convex portions and an intermediate portion arranged between the pair of convex portions. A ratio of a thickness of the intermediate portion relative to a thickness of the pair of convex portions of each of the first and second insulating films is from 0.50 to 0.90.
