The invention relates to a curable composition comprising a resin matrix, the resin matrix comprising cationically curable components (A) and radiation curable components (B), a curing system, the curing system comprising a starter (A-S) suitable for curing the cationically curable components (A) and a photo-initiator (B-I), the curable composition being provided as a Base Part and Catalyst Part being separated before use, wherein the Base Part comprises components (A) and (B) and wherein the Catalyst Part comprises components (A-S) and (B-I). The composition can be used for taking a dental impression including the subgingival parts.

The invention relates to a curable dental composition comprising a cationically hardenable compound (A) comprising at least two aziridine moieties, a starter (B) being suitable to cure the hardenable compound (A), polymeric particles as filler component (C), the polymeric particles having a maximum particle size of 150 μm or below and the component(s) the polymeric particles are made of being based on fluoropolymers comprising more than 99% monomer repeating units of tetra fluoro ethylene. The present invention relates to a kit of parts comprising Paste (A), Paste (B) and Paste (C), the pastes being characterized as follows: Paste (A) comprising at least one polyorganosiloxane with at least two olefinically unsaturated groups, and at least one organohydrogenpolysiloxane, at least one alkylsiloxane having at least one carbinol, silanol, alkoxy, carboxyl or amino group, optionally filler(s) and optionally additive(s); Paste (B) comprising at least one polyorganosiloxane optionally with olefinically unsaturated groups, at least one addition cure catalyst, optionally at least one alkylsiloxane having at least one carbinol, silanol, alkoxy, carboxyl or amino group, optionally filler(s) and optionally additive(s) Paste (C) comprising a softener, a condensation cure catalyst, optionally filler(s), and optionally additive(s) optionally at least one polyorganosiloxane optionally with olefinically unsaturated groups. The invention relates to a process of processing a radiation-curable composition with an additive-manufacturing technique comprising a radiation-curing step, the radiation-curable composition comprising mercapto-functional Component A comprising at least three mercapto moieties, crosslinker Component B with at least three vinyl or allyl moieties, photo-initiator(s) Component C for initiating a curing reaction between Component A and Component B, wherein the radiation-curable composition does not comprise urethane (meth)acrylate oligomers in an amount of more than 4 wt. % with respect to the whole composition. 3-dim articles which can be produced are typically transparent and have adequate mechanical properties. The radiation-curable composition is in particular useful for producing clear-tray aligners for dental and orthodontic purposes.

Methods of making an impression of dental tissue and dental articles (e.g. suitable for dental impression) are described. In one embodiment, the method comprises providing a hardenable composition, comprising a resin system, a filler system, and an initiator system wherein the hardenable composition is a hardenable self-supporting material having sufficient malleability to be formed into a shape. The method further comprises placing said hardenable composition in contact with dental tissue such that an impression of at least a portion of the dental tissue is formed in the hardenable composition. The method further comprises curing the hardenable composition comprising the impression.
