    Abstract: A die cushion device of a press machine includes a hydraulic cylinder that supports a cushion pad and generates die cushion force when a slide of the press machine descends, an orifice and a hydraulic pump/motor that are connected to each other in in parallel between a lower chamber of the hydraulic cylinder and a tank, a servo motor connected to a rotating shaft of the hydraulic pump/motor, and a control unit that controls torque of the servo motor to control the die cushion force, wherein a rotation direction of the servo motor switches from a first rotation direction in which the hydraulic pump/motor serves as a hydraulic motor to a second rotation direction in which the hydraulic pump/motor serves as a hydraulic pump, during generation of the die cushion force.

    Abstract: A press system providing excellent energy efficiency for a whole press system and capable of achieving low prices is provided. A die cushion apparatus constituting a press system supports a cushion pad, includes a hydraulic cylinder which generates a die cushion load on the cushion pad when a slide of a press machine descends, the press machine includes a hydraulic cylinder which generates part of a press load on the slide when the slide descends. The pressure generation chamber of the hydraulic cylinder for generating a die cushion load and the pressure generation chamber of the hydraulic cylinder for generating part of the press load can communicate with each other via pipes and a first logic valve for a period during which the die cushion load acts.

    Abstract: There is provided a die cushion device that includes a cushion pad, a hydraulic cylinder configured to lift the cushion pad, and a hydraulic closed circuit connected to a die cushion pressure creation chamber of the hydraulic cylinder. The hydraulic closed circuit includes a pilot drive type logic valve that is operable as a main relief valve at the time of the die cushion operation, and a pilot relief valve configured to create pilot pressure for controlling the logic valve. Hydraulic oil is filled in the hydraulic closed circuit, in a pressurized manner, and the hydraulic oil in the hydraulic closed circuit is pressurized by only die cushion force applied from the cushion pad through the hydraulic cylinder, in one cycle period of the cushion pad.

    Abstract: A cushion pin pressure equalizing device that can absorb a variation in height of a plurality of cushion pins and control a die cushion load highly accurately, a die cushion device, and a cushion pin pressure equalizing method are provided. An initial pressure in ascending-side pressurizing chambers of a pressure equalizing hydraulic cylinder group for absorbing a variation in height of cushion pins is controlled so as to be an appropriate pressure. The variation in height of the plurality of cushion pins can be absorbed within a shortest stroke of a slide after the slide comes into collision with a cushion pad so as to equalize die cushion loads that are applied individually to the cushion pins and a target die cushion load can be generated within the shortest stroke of the slide, whereby a response to application of the die cushion load can be stabilized without excessive delay.

    Abstract: There is provided a press machine which can apply a large compression force to a mold as well as impart smooth vibration only in a rectilinear advancing direction to the mold, and thereby can improve the press-formability. A main slide and a sub-slide constitute a slide and at the same time a cylinder-piston mechanism. During press-forming, a compression force is transmitted to the sub-slide (an upper mold) through hydraulic pressure applied interlockingly with driving of the main slide, and the sub-slide is vibrated with the hydraulic pressure being periodically changed. Favorable press-forming can be performed even under relatively difficult press-forming conditions, by controlling the vibration such that a vibration frequency of the sub-slide (the upper mold) becomes 9 Hz or higher but 33.3 Hz or lower and a vibration amplitude of the sub-slide becomes 0.05 mm or larger but 0.5 mm or smaller.
