    Abstract: An imaging device includes a pixel-circuit and a readout circuit. The pixel-circuit includes a photodetector. The readout circuit is configured to perform a series of iterations, each iteration including (i) accumulating an electrical charge in the photodetector during an integration time, (ii) transferring a portion of the electrical charge accumulated in the photodetector to a floating diffusion, the portion being less than all the electrical charge accumulated in the photodetector, and (iii) coupling a voltage of the floating diffusion to a storage capacitance, to subsequently, in a final iteration, transfer a remaining electrical charge from the photodetector, and to derive an output digital value, indicative of a total energy of the light incident on the photodetector over the series of iterations and the final iteration, from the voltage on the storage capacitance and from the remaining electrical charge transferred in the final iteration.

    Abstract: At a processor of a camera-equipped electronic device, a first data set generated at a sensor incorporated within a camera module is obtained, and a second data set generated at one or more sensors external to the camera module is obtained. Based on the first set and second data sets, a first set of control signals is transmitted to the camera module. At a disturbance rejection controller integrated within the camera module, a second set of control signals is generated, based on the first set of control signals and on a third set of data obtained from the sensor incorporated within the camera module. The second set of control signals is transmitted to an actuator, which causes a displacement of a camera lens.

    Abstract: An image sensor and a method of operating an image sensor to achieve a substantially uniform power signature. An array of pixels may be scanned using analog sensing circuitry to obtain an analog sensor output. The scanning is performed over a first time interval. The analog sensor output is converted to a digital data output using digital logic circuitry. The converting occurs over a second time interval that is subsequent to the first time interval and may be substantially the same duration as the first time interval. While the array of pixels are being scanned, the digital logic circuitry is operated over the first time interval and substantially coincides with the scanning of the array of pixels.
