摘要: A method of effecting handoff of a mobile station from a first base station in a first cellular communications system controlled by a first mobile switching control station to a second base station in a second, different cellular system controlled by a second mobile switching control station is described. The method comprises generating at the second cellular communication system an authentication code as the result of applying an algorithm to a private key assigned to the mobile station for the second cellular communications system and a random number generated by the second cellular communications system. An authentication code is also generated at the first cellular communication system as the result of applying an algorithm to the private key and the random number. The authentication code generated at the first cellular communication system is then transmitted to a mobile station in a data packet, and, from there, the authentication code is transmitted to the second cellular communication system. The authentication code generated at the first cellular communications system is then compared with the authentication code generated at the second cellular communications system.

摘要: An apparatus and method of effecting hand-off of a mobile station in a first wireless communication system, which has a first mobile switching node operable with a first base station and a second mobile switching node operable with a second base station, and a second wireless communication system, is claimed. A handoff required message is received at the first mobile switching node, and sent to a second mobile switching node. A message from the second mobile switching node is sent to request allocation for a handoff. In an embodiment, this message is sent to the VLR of the second wireless communication system. In response, a handoff request acknowledge message is received by the second mobile switching node and sent to the first mobile switching node. An initial address message is sent to initiate a circuit connection between the first mobile switching node and the second mobile switching node. Then, the call is received from the first mobile switching node.

摘要: A Pre-Rolled Smoking Paper Stuffer has a chimney which includes a separator wall bin, converging guide, cradle, tip spacer, and base walls and an extractor base which includes an extractor block, alignment block, and tip pusher. A smoking paper can be inserted into the cradle. Smoking materials are placed into the bin and flow out of the bin and into the converging guide which funnels them into the smoking paper held within the cradle. Once filled, the chimney is pressed onto the base and the alignment block aligns the tip pusher with the smoking-end of the paper. As the chimney continues to be pushed down, the tip pusher displaces the filled smoking paper up and out of the top of the cradle. The stuffed paper can be grasped and lifted out of the stuffer. Multiple stuffers can be attached to one another via the use of various attachment means.

摘要: A transmission obscuring cover device obscures video and audio transmissions from an electronic apparatus. The device includes a panel having a bottom surface. An adhesive is coupled to the bottom surface for being adhered to an electronic apparatus. The panel is a sound absorber wherein the panel is configured for being positioned over a microphone of the electronic apparatus to inhibit transmission of sound to the microphone.

摘要: The present disclosure includes a network element comprising a first card configured to receive a duplicatively split first signal comprising a data component and a management component, and further configured to receive and transmit a duplicatively split second signal, and a similar second card. The network element also includes a selector configured to select either the first card or the second card to receive the management component of the first signal and to detect a change in designation between the first card and the second card to transmit the second signal. The selector is also configured to modify the selection to select the card designated to transmit the second signal to also receive the management component of the first signal. The disclosure also includes associated methods and systems.

摘要: A stent is mounted upon a tubular braid. A tapered mandrel is placed within the inner lumen of the braid to allow the stent to be expanded to a larger diameter. The tubular braid acts as a transport that reduces friction between the stent and the mandrel to help uniformly stretch the stent circumferentially. Uniquely shaped expansion mandrels limit the stresses applied to stent struts while the stent is expanded to a larger diameter. A plurality of longitudinally extending expansion blades cooperates to form a complete mandrel body. The expansion blades lie adjacent to one another and are capable of independently moving relative to each other in a longitudinal direction. Subsets of alternating expansion blades can be moved axially relative to the other subsets. The expandable mandrel may include numerous regions having progressively larger diameters than an adjacent region.
