Abstract: An example process includes receiving, from a user, an input corresponding to a request to render, without using a camera, and during a communication session with an external electronic device, an avatar associated with the user; and in accordance with receiving the input: in accordance with a determination that the electronic device is coupled to an external accessory device: during the communication session with the external electronic device, and while a camera corresponding to the communication session is disabled: receiving, from the external accessory device, a first data stream detected by a first type of sensor of the external accessory device; determining, based on the first data stream, a first set of data representing a first type of visual feature of the avatar; and rendering the avatar using the first set of data.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for enhancement of Wi-Fi calling for DSDS user equipment devices (UEs). The UE may register a first connection supported by a first SIM with IMS for VoWiFi based on a determination to prefer VoWiFi for the first SIM. The first SIM may be associated with a first subscription to a first RAN. The UE may include a second SIM that may be associated with a second subscription to a second RAN. The UE may register a second connection associated with the second SIM with the IMS for VoWiFi and/or VoLTE and initiate/receive, via the first connection supported by the first SIM, a VoWiFi call. A recommendation to handover the VoWiFi call from Wi-Fi to cellular data may be received and, based, at least in part, on the recommendation, the UE may register a second connection associated with the second SIM for IWLAN over cellular data.

Abstract: Systems and methods performed by user equipment (UE) for communicating over a wireless communication network include receiving data representing one or more communication quality metrics for communication on a New Radio (NR) communication link of the wireless communication network. The method includes determining, based on the data representing the one or more communication quality metrics, a data throughput for the NR communication link of the wireless communication network. The method includes estimating a theoretical throughput for using a Long Term Evolution (LTE) communications link of the wireless network. The method includes comparing the data throughput using the NR communication link to the theoretical throughput for using the LTE communication link. The method includes causing a switch, based on the comparison, from the NR communication link to the LTE communication link.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods to support access to services of multiple wireless networks by a single-radio, multiple subscriber identity module (SIM)/electronic SIM (eSIM) wireless device are disclosed. To send or receive voice communications for multiple SIMs/eSIMs, when an active voice connection for a first SIM/eSIM uses wireless circuitry to connect to a first cellular wireless network via a first radio access network, the single-radio, multi-SIM/eSIM wireless device uses alternative data transports, such as via a wireless local area network (WLAN) or by tunneling through the first radio access network of the first cellular wireless network to connect to services of additional cellular wireless networks associated with the multiple SIMs/eSIMs.
