    Abstract: An apparatus to be used in a UE in a mobile communication network to communicate with a base station, includes a memory configured to store a RRC message, and processing circuitry configured to decode the RRC message to obtain BWP configuration information and mapping information, identify one or more UL BWPs and one or more DL BWPs within a carrier bandwidth per Serving Cell based on the BWP configuration information, identify one or more SR configurations which a LCH is mapped to for the UL BWPs based on the mapping information, the LCH being mapped to none or one SR configuration for each of the UL BWPs, identify activation of a UL BWP of the UL BWPs, and encode an SR on a PUCCH based on a SR configuration for the UL BWP.

    Abstract: Exemplary embodiments include a UE that determines that access stratum (AS) security has not been activated and mobility is handled by a 5G core network. The UE then encodes a radio resource control (RRC) connection re-establishment request for transmission based on the determination. The RRC connection re-establishment request may include an indicator of a UE identity or a single bit value to indicate a reestablishment cause. The UE may also determine a truncated ng-5G-S-TSMI of the UE, wherein the RRC connection re-establishment request includes the truncated ng-5G-S-TSMI.

    Abstract: Some embodiments of this disclosure include systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media for the reduction of handover interruptions. Some embodiments include a user equipment (UE) that supports simultaneous connectivity with a source 5G Node B (gNB) and a target gNB during a handover. Some embodiments include the UE receiving source path data packets from the source gNB and target path data packets from a target gNB. The UE performs a first reorder of the one or more source path data packets and the one or more target path data packets by sequence number (SN), and the UE performs header decompression on the reordered source path data packets, separately from the reordered target path data packets. After the header decompressions the UE performs a second reorder of the source path data packets and the target path data packets together by SN, and discards any duplicate data packets based on SNs.
