    Abstract: User equipment may include a transmitter coupled to an antenna to enable the user equipment to transmit data with a communication node and/or a non-terrestrial network. The user equipment may transmit using high power over a period of time such that the transmission power of the user equipment is below an emission threshold. For example, the user equipment may adjust a buffer status report to reduce uplink allocation frequency. In another example, the user equipment may determine a duty cycle and transmit the data using high power based on the duty cycle. In another example, the user equipment may determine a priority of uplink symbols and transmit certain uplink symbols using high power. In this way, the user equipment may transmit using high power and may improve transmission range to the non-terrestrial network and/or a likelihood that transmissions may be received by the network while remaining within the emission threshold.

    Abstract: An apparatus of user equipment (UE) includes processing circuitry coupled to a memory, where to configure the UE for dynamic transmit power adjustment, the processing circuitry is to decode baseband configuration information received from a base station. The baseband configuration information including at least a modulation and coding scheme (MCS), resource block (RB) allocation, and carrier assignment for uplink (UL) transmission and downlink (DL) reception. A communication mode is selected based on the baseband configuration information. An additional maximum power reduction (A-MPR) is determined based on the baseband configuration information and the selected communication mode. UL data is encoded for transmission to the base station via the selected communication mode and using transmit power adjusted based on the determined A-MPR. New signaling enhancements between the UE and the network (on a Uu interface) and between two UEs (on a PC5 sidelink interface) are also disclosed.

    Abstract: A base station sends system information to user equipment based on the user equipment detecting network coverage provided by the base station. The system information may include one or more network signaling flags indicative of a legacy regulation and an updated regulation (or a legacy version of a regulation and an updated version of the regulation) for operating on a frequency band. The user equipment transmits an indication to the base station as to whether it supports the legacy regulation and/or the updated regulation. The base station configures uplink and/or downlink resources on the frequency band for the user equipment based on the regulation indicated. The user equipment and the base station then communicate using the configured resources on the frequency band.
