摘要: Methods and devices for a base station acting as a primary cell to perform dual spectrum sharing (DSS) with a first user equipment device (UE) over a 5G NR connection and a second UE over an LTE connection. The first UE establishes the 5G NR connection with the primary cell and one or more secondary cells. One of the secondary cells is configured in the 5G NR connection to provide downlink control information to the UE for the primary cell, to avoid collisions by the primary cell with LTE control transmissions.

摘要: Techniques disclosed herein efficiently address prioritization by a UE regarding its reception behavior with respect to a configured downlink transmission that is overlapped by a dynamic assignment and/or the dynamic downlink transmission scheduled via the dynamic assignment. In at least one embodiment having applicability to operation of the UE in a communication network based on the 5G NR specifications, the techniques disclosed herein provide for predictable behavior by the UE as to when the UE prioritizes a configured Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) versus another PDSCH. Correspondingly, a radio network node may exploit the predictable behavior of the UE to override a configured PDSCH in favor of a dynamic PDSCH, by transmitting the Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) that schedules the dynamic PDSCH so that a timing relationship between the PDCCH and the configured PDSCH is satisfied.

摘要: A user equipment includes a receiver and a transmitter and is configured to report channel state information (CSI) to a base station in a communication system in which a plurality of downlink component carriers and at least one uplink component carrier are configured. The receiver receives, in a slot nTrigger, a trigger message that triggers reporting of the CSI for at least one unlicensed downlink component carrier of the plurality of downlink component carriers. The transmitter transmits, in a slot nReport, the CSI based on reference signals present in a slot nRS on the at least one unlicensed downlink component carrier. Responsive to the at least one unlicensed downlink component carrier being occupied for a period of time for a bursty downlink transmission, only the reference signals in the slot nRS are evaluated for the CSI, and other slots in the period of time are not evaluated for the CSI.

An exemplary method includes determining a first interleaved mapping that maps a first interleaving unit of N consecutive first virtual resource blocks (VRBs) to N consecutive first physical resource blocks (PRBs), wherein each first PRB comprises a set of frequency resources during a period, transmitting a first grant allocating the first interleaving unit of first VRBs to a first user equipment (UE), and communicating with the first UE via the first PRBs mapped to the first VRBs of the first interleaving unit.
